“Very Nice”

We were going down to Terre Haute for a campus tour and needed a place near campus to stay. This was perfect. Very clean, very comfortable, people at the desk were very courteous and knowledgeable. check in and check out were very quick and easy. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a nice hotel at a reasonable price.

“NON SMOKIN DUDE”

rooms were not described on Expedia as being Pets OK and Smoking OK. YUCK. I mean YUCK. Stay at the hotel across the street. it was much better (same ownership)

“Very Pleased”

We stayed here on a Friday evening for a "date night" and we were very pleased with everything. Housekeeping stopped by in the morning to see if we needed anything, extra towels, etc. The room was spacious and was clean. The a/c unit was efficient without being noisy. For a longer stay the kitchen area would have been nice too. We will absolutely stay again.

“Very Nice Place!”

The room was large and very nice, bed and bedding great. Wonderful having a full kitchen - saves a bundle on restaurants. Stayed two nights and enjoyed it. Only drawback is that my kids would have enjoyed a pool.

“Amazing hotel”

This is a beautiful and new hotel in the middle of downtown Terre Haute near the Debs House and Museum and all downtown stuff, Only a few miles down one road straight to Rose Hulman. Best hotel in area! New, clean, spacious, comfortable. And costs way less than many comparable hotels elsewhere.

Area recommendations

Terre Haute fell out of 1970s and still looks it. Truly amazing. Go to the Pizza Hut and see it as it was in the mid 1970s, only just as clean and bright as new. And go to the Dairy Queen drive up just like it was in 1955 -- only it is as new as 1955. Prices are 1970s prices too. Town in a time warp.

“my new hotel of choice”

we were in town to visit a sick relative, so having a posh, comfortable place to rest was a bonus. The front desk has DVDs to loan (a great relaxation after a frazzling day). The pantry is VERY well stocked with reasonably priced snacks, beverages, toiletries (unlike some other hotels with outrageously priced, poor selection vending machine offerings). DEFINATELY will be looking for another Candlewood Suites the next time I travel.

“Classic downtown hotel”

This is an older building that has been brought up to date. Located right down town, reasonably close to the University. Rooms were large with High ceilings. Very comfortable. Good Value for the price.

“Downtown Noise”

Check in was wonderful, staff very helpful, room was awesome, sirens in the middle of the night was a bit much ... overall 4 out of 5 ... and bring the Tylenol PM :)

“A very relaxing stay!!!!!”

Hotel employees were very nice, actually happy to see us. The decor of the hotel was very elegant. The room we stayed in was very clean and comfortable. We have stayed in many hotels in Terra Haute In. but this is by far the best. We will be staying here again next year when we come back.

Traveller's tip

We ate both nights from a small placed called Footers. The food was good, fair priced, and the portions were big.
