“cute departure from our 4 star agenda”

cute....one man show.... typical 3 star... maybe 2.5... but right in the town, across from a supermarket..... cute and different from all the 4 stars we stayed in... If you want towels or pillows, we suggest you learn the Italian words. My efforts to show myself being dried off was received as an offer to dance....

“Orvieto hotel - great place but a bit noisy where situated.”

Hotel Umbria is a beautiful older hotel with very easy access to Orvieto. A big plus of our room was the lovely balcony and controllable air coditioning; minus was the proximity to a very busy street below and the concommitant noise. Another plus was the great restaurant in the hotel: we had an excellent dinner (try the tagliatelle con cinghiale - YUM!).

Area recommendations
Oh, you must see the incredible duomo on the hill of Orvieto itself - wow!!

“Gut geeignet als Zwischenstopp auf Umbrienrundreise”

Hotel liegt nahe a Bahnhof von Orvieto, daher Kernstadt leicht mit der Seilbahn erreichbar. Leider gibt es im direkten Umfeld des Hotels wenig zu unternehmen und man ist abends auf ein Fahrzeug angewiesen da Seilbahn nur bis gegen 20:00 läuft Dennoch gut als Zwischenübernachtungsmöglichkeit geeeignet, da saubere geräumige Zimmer mit einfacher Ausstattung
