“Great location”
The hotel is in a great location, on the main walking thoroughfare through Orvieto, but far enough away from the center to be quiet. The room unfortunately was very smoky, which the front desk said they had little control over (the prior guests were Italian). The room was clean, aside from a dirty towel left behind when we arrived. The breakfast was adequate and included an espresso. The front desk was very helpful with directions and advice for where to park- you have to find free parking, which is limited, and it doesn't come with the hotel. Overall very nice and a good deal.
“Orvieto is a jewel.”
The hotel was a short, pleasant three block walk from the delightful funicular ride. The room was comfortable, clean, quiet, and right in the center of all we came to visit. The staff was very accommodating and kept our bags so we could tour past our check out time. I would definitely recommend it.
“Hotel Corso, a warm retreat in a most interesting Hilltown”
This hotel was not too far from train station if your luggage is light (and you are walking.) But, it did seem quite a distance from Duomo and other attractions a lot farther up the main via. Still, the service was always excellent and cheerful, especially the man who was at the desk in morning, then again later in afternoon and evening. English not a problem. Some beautiful marble stairs, or very modern elevator, allowed easy access to the room. My room was very quaint, and quite roomy. There were marble steps from the bath up into the room proper, and, tho beautiful, that might prove a problem for some persons. I approached them with caution always. The breakfast was delicious, and your choice of coffee was served immediately. I would definitely go back!
“La camera più brutta è toccata a noi!..”
La camera assegnataci era bruttina, non troppo pulita e con evidenti problemi di umidità alle pareti. L'hotel non è in realtà molto male, ed è vicinissimo al centro, ma la camera che ci hanno dato contrastava molto con le immagini che si hanno dalle foto del sito.. Bagno fatiscente e colazione abbastanza povera.. Va bene x una notte, ma non ce ne passerei di più!..
