We took the bus from Mexico City Autobuses del Norte. One hour ride for 52 pesos on way and you can buy the tickets there for return as well, which is valid for 2 days. But tickets can be purchased from the driver too. The bus dropped us off at Gate 1. The hotel is about 10 minutes walk from the pyramids. There is a path way but if you are not comfortable walking on the side of the roads, you can take taxi for about 60-150 pesos ($4-8 USD). It is at safe location. Just on the other side of the bridge is a bog grocery store Bodega Aurrera, like Walmart. The room we got first was on the cold side, no sunshine. Since we were there for X-mas. They kindly changed it to for another one with balcony, sunshine and it made all the difference. There was only a $7 USD extra charge because of the bigger room, for two night. Hotel restaurant and bar is fine as well, the have room service and we used it during our stay. Pool are is nice, not heated and it was too fresh for us. Others jumped in. Hotel is in nice conditions, floors, beds and bathroom as well. You can see the pyramids from the rooms if you are on the other side (not sunny), and see it as soon as you walk out from the hotel. It is nice to see the hot air balloon in the morning when you walk up early.
