Amazing stay!!! Upon arrival we were welcomed by Elsa who was fantastic. We were lucky to be offered a free upgrade to the villas with access to private adult pool. This made a statement for the entire stay. Pool service was excellent, did not go an hour without being asked several times if everything was ok, in addition we received free poolside treats. Room was cleaned twice a day. The facilities were very nice and the breakfast was tasty. We dined at the onsite Michelin star restaurant MB which lived up to its reputation and more. Also managed to get in a round of golf which is a must as this shows the best views of the resort. The only fault I would say is that staying in the villas you rely on hotel buggies to pick you up from your room to get you to the other areas of the resort and to the main hotels and on 3 of the 4 occasions we called to be picked up no one ever came. We had to wait up to 20 mins at one point near the villa entries and flag down a buggie to ask to be taken to the top. If this area could be improved upon o efficiency and consistency it would make the stay in the Villas more relaxing. However, despite this, the hotel is still first class and so are the staff! I would return again and recommend to anyone without hesitation. Elsa made our weekend a cut above the rest.
This was our first time to Tenerife, and we quickly understood the type of hotels and resorts on the island from both online searching and from having wandered into a few nearby hotels. We were very happy with Plantacion del Sur because it was classic and comfortable. The decor and experience was not Vegas cheesy like other hotels. Instead, it was tranquil and classic. We arrived after a two-hour delay on our flight, and we were frazzled, but from the moment the valet helped us with our car and suitcases to the reception staff who checked us in, we felt that stress melt away. The best was the staff person, Antonio, who we bumped into in the lift and gave us the tip to have dinner in La Caleta.
The hotel staff were so lovely and always helpful. My mum can not eat any wheat or dairy and hotel staff bent over backwards to assist and she had a whole breakfast section to herself.
Fantastic hotel with lovely gardens, great rooms and friendly staff
This hotel took our breathe away from the moment we walked through the door. The staff will do anything for you, and the decor is amaxing, we have travelled the world and visited many 5 star hotels but this topped them all.. Already booking to go back In feb x
We have stayed at this hotel on several occasions and on each occasion we have never been disappointed. The staff are friendly and welcoming and well presented. Although the hotel can have several hundred guests at any one time the service received is never compromised.
The hotel is situated in Costa Adele, a short walk from the beach front, shops and markets. This five star hotel lives up to the rating and provides excellent accommodation for singles, family or the passing traveller. Facilities include a active entertainments team which provide great entertainment seven nights a weeks, something for everyone and to suit all tastes.
The three hotel pools are very well looked after, two heated (one on the room and one on the ground level) and non-heated pool to the front of the hotel. There is a gym, spa facilities and squash courts - all maintained extremely well and provided to all guests of the hotel.
I highly recommend the hotel to anyone who is in Tenerife, great place to be based to explore the island.
Lovely hotel, staff, environment and would definitely recommend to others and may stay again if returning to Tenerife. We had a corner junior suite with a wrap-around balcony which had a lovely main view of the pool and a side view of the sea. The room was spacious and spotless but did not have any coffee making facilities, which we would have liked. Housekeeping was excellent. The added bonus of having the children sleep in a separate TV room within our room meant we could put them to bed first without having to have all the lights out at their bedtime. This was a lovely change as on previous holidays we have always shared with the children.
We loved the three pools which our children spent mostly of the holiday in and the added security of a life guard and again the cleanliness was excellent. The children also loved the mini-club and mini-disco activities. I have only given 3/5 for room comfort as the air-con was not good. It smelt of cooking as if it came through the kitchens first (a little odd, given we were on floor 9) and it was not cold. It was moving cooler air about but not enough to make us comfortable on the hotter days. As we were on floor 9 we resorted to leaving the sliding doors open in our room and we benefitted from the sea breeze then. Obviously we couldn't do this in the children's room for safety reasons. Hotel is a little dated but lovely.

A lovely hotel in a quiet and secluded location, perfect for a romantic get-a-way. It is a great location for venturing up the hill into the National Park, or you can enjoy nice walks around the hotel and down into Vilaflor. The Spa was excellent - bathrobes are given out at reception and then you can enjoy the jacuzzi, plunge pool, sauna, saunarium, steam room and pool. The gym was better equipped than expected and had all the basics that you need. The staff could not do enough to help during our stay. We ate at the restaurant on a couple of nights and the food was good but perhaps a little over priced. There's a nice large lounge to relax in and board games if you wish to play.
A car is essential for staying here - but then you'd want one anyway to explore the local scenery.
The food choices in this hotel are excellent, not for weight watchers! All the staff always have a smile on their face so they must enjoy there work there. I will definitely return in the future, there is absolutely nothing that I can think to complain about!
