Pros: incredibly friendly staff; super quick taxi from TFS airport; comfortable poolside chairs; decent sized rooms with nice closets; breakfast buffet has wide selection; spa has nice outdoor relaxation area. Cons: cold hot tubs both in the main pool and the spa/wellness centre; wifi is expensive and can be weak; food is pretty mediocre (similar to airport quality), not all of the restaurants advertised are open every day ... room service is overpriced and underwhelming (when requested bread to go with a cheese plate - as plate had been delivered sans anything but loads of cheese - received four crackers and half a handful of tortilla chips); the outdoor evening entertainment can be quite loud and late/heard through glass doors on balconies (bring earplugs if you are a light sleeper and early to bed); housekeeping spotty (the one day it was requested came back to find room 'clean' but dirty dishes weren't cleared, water glasses and bath towels weren't replaced). All those cons plus some cloudy weather prompted me to check out two days early.

Dear Guest, First of all thank you for taking your time to write a comment about Sheraton La Caleta. We appreciate your kind words concerning our staff, poolside chairs, the rooms, the selection of the breakfast buffet and the relaxation area in the Spa. On the other side, we do regret that some points of your stay were not at all to your liking. Regarding your comment on the outdoor Jacuzzi in the main pool, it has an average temperature of 30 degrees, which is checked daily by our maintenance staff. We do apologize if it wasn’t to your liking. We have also informed the Spa center about your concerns. We will definitely forward your comment about the Wifi to the IT Manager as we have updated our Wifi system recently and there should be a strong signal in the entire resort. We will definitely look further in to this matter. Concerning the free Wifi, we inform all our guests about the possibility to enjoy free Internet in our Link@Sheraton. Our à-la-carte restaurants Kamakura and La Venta have weekly closures, on the contrary, the Pool restaurant Vivace and the buffet restaurant El Parador are open every day. On our website and inside the hotel we announce the weekly program of our restaurants. As you have only stayed three days in our hotel, you probably haven’t been able to enjoy all restaurants, and we really do apologize for any inconvenience this has caused. As you chose the “Make a Green Choice” program, Housekeeping was informed to clean only every 3 days, then they change sheets and towels and leave clean glasses. We are very sorry for any misunderstanding regarding this program, but we will let Housekeeping know about this situation. Concerning the entertainment in the hotel, we have passed your feedback to our Management team. Once again, we want to apologize for not having been able to satisfy your expectations. We’re sorry the weather wasn’t of a great help either to make your stay a more enjoyable one.
