Apartment was broken into while we slept and phone and bank cards and earrings were taken. Reported to reception and was told to go to police station to report but she wouldn’t do it. Another 10 apartments were also broken into, nothing done by the reception. Had to ask for bath towels and toilet paper. Didn’t have the room cleaned all week. Lots of others staying there also very disappointed with it

This was the third occasion on which I’ve stayed at the hotel in ten years. Provided that a) you’re happy to stay in a hotel constructed on a steep slope with numerous steps and b) located on the flight path, with planes passing overhead within 200/300 feet during daylight hours, then this is an excellent place to stay. The hotel lies within a 10 minute taxi ride of the airport and is around 200 metres downhill from a bus stop on a route to and from the airport. Provided you don’t intend to travel extensively around the island, there is no need to hire a car. I find spending €60-70 euros in total on taxis and buses a much easier option. A five minute stroll takes you to the seafront and an enjoyable walk to Los Abrigos. Two golf courses lie within a 12 minute walk of the hotel and there are 5 mini markets within 300 metres of the hotel. Whilst a number of restaurants and bars have closed during the pandemic, there’s still a good choice of restaurants within 400 metres of the hotel. The apartment was comfortable and well equipped apart from any washing up utensils or washing up liquid and although I requested a frying pan and a toaster from reception neither were forthcoming. The swimming pool was very clean and warm but usage limited due to Covid regs. Overall a great place to stay.

The hotel requires to be updated. It appears to being sold off room by room. There was no WiFi in the room, furniture and decoration dated. We were staying only one night so location was important. Route to room with heavy bags convoluted with stairs. Central for golf del sur. price very good

We had a lovely stay at the Royal Albatross Apartments. The rooms were clean and tidy, the pool well controlled (social distancing measures) and all the local grocery shops and restaurants were open over the Christmas period.

I caught the 415 Titsa bus from TFS which runs roughly hourly (direction Colegio) and costs E 2.30 with a TEN+ card which you can buy from a machine adjacent to the stop for E 2.00, then add cash for fares. The bus takes about 15 mins depending on traffic and stops 50 yards from the Albatross just past Grandee O’Donnell Irish bar. Reception was very efficient and quick given that I had five separate one night consecutive reservations!. Having shown my Passport and U.K. Covid vaccination certificate I found my room which was a pleasant surprise- much better than expected with oven, four ring hob, microwave and fridge with small freezer compartment plus cutlery, china and utensils including tin opener, scissors and corkscrew. SouthWest facing balcony had two bedchairs and a table with two chairs. fair size bathroom with small bathtub. TV had BBC 1 and 2 plus ITV and Ch 4 plus Bloomberg in English and 80+ foreign channels. I couldn’t connect to the WiFi but I carry a MiFi from “3” network and this performed well enough to watch iPlayer plus Sky Sports and BtlT Sport app on my laptop. comfy bedroom with lots of hangers and storage space (which kitchen lacks) - thoroughly recommended

No Internet, no restaurant arrived around 8.30pm with two small children, to then be told the restaurant was not open at the moment, supermarkets closed at this time of evening as well, managed to walk and find an Irish Bar that we managed to get some food. Nowhere to buy breakfast so had to go to the supermarket to get some food. No bedsheets waited until 11pm to be given some. Pool you have to clock in, the pool doesn't open until 10am, and then if you cannot get there at that time you have no chance of getting a slot, they are only allowing a certain number of people to use the pool. I am so glad we only had to stay here one night, would not recommend at the moment for people with a family.

We arrived after dark, it was difficult to find our apartment. We went to bed and were bitten alive by mosquitoes in the bedroom. Spent a sleepless night trying to get rid of them. Next morning at check out I reported the problem, the receptionist did apologise however did not really appear to be interested. That was the first night of our holiday and suffered with horrendous bites for the next three or so.

For a stay of one night it is ok although we would not want to stay any longer. The apartment facilities are sufficient but nothing more. On arrival we had no kettle but this was quickly rectified & a brand new kettle was sent to our apartment.

The property was badly in need of refurbishment. The water pressure was poor at best, which was not good when taking a shower. The kitchen units had seen better days and the toilet cistern continuously topped itself up, which was especially annoying during the night as it gave the impression that someone was using it. Finally. and more importantly, the apartment nest door was being worked on for the whole of our stay. The sound of hammer drills, other drilling, scraping and banging could be heard between 0800 and 1700 each weekday. You may ask why we didn't ask to be moved, but my belief is that we should never have been allocated this apartment as the staff must have known this work was going on and as it was November I don't believe the hotel was full and therefore other apartments must have been available.

Great hotel/apartment. Very clean. Only problem found was the supermarket was not very well stocked. Arrived late and wanted to buy a jar of coffee but only ground coffee was available. Very limited selection of stock. To get to shops/restaurants use the very back exit of the hotel to avoid a long walk around on the road. Only discovered this short cut after 2 days of walking 10 minutes when the back of the hotel exists a few minutes walk from beach and some good places to eat and drink. Breakfasts half the price as hotel if you go to the cafes nearby.

Outstanding pool, dated rooms, good for quick stay
Dated room, uncomfortable bed. However was very clean and the pool area was amazing! Food in the pool side bar was ok but the coffee was lush! Mixed experience, not sure if would stay again. Wouldn't have wanted to stay more than the 3 nights we did. Lovely staff and easy check-in.

The apartments are dated and seriously need some love I understand it’s self catering however they don’t even give you one cup of coffee in your room Also the beds are so uncomfortable as well as the pillows are almost non existent My shower was broken off the wall so shows no maintenance or very little maintenance is being carried out The area around suits more an older generation and not many stores around so you would have to transit to a main area to buy your supplies for your apartment Also the apartments are only serviced once a week

First the good news, the appartments are in a good location, close to the sea and restaurants. As we had stayed before we knew not to expect 5 star as it is not listed as 5 star. For those who had not been before think of it as a place you would have visited in the 1950's - bit basic. There are a lot of steps but there is a wheelchair ramp tucked away in one corner of the property. Now the not so good bits. Upon arrival we we're not told about the in-room safe, when in the room, the safe was open and instructions on the front on how to set it,which we did. Got up next morning and the safe would not open so picked up the phone to ring reception, but the phone did not work, so walked up to reception to be told that you have to pay extra for the safe,(we we we're not told this on arrival) I paid the money, got a code but safe still wouldn't open - back up to reception, they said that the code the previous occupants must have timed out. They called in the safe manufacturer who had to come and reset it. Not a pleasant start to the holiday. Fortunately after that only a few minor problems

Hotel was OK, we only stayed for 2 nights, wouldn't have wanted to stay longer. Beds were uncomfortable and sofa bed didn't have sheets just a couple of blankets that looked like they had been there since the 70's. Lots of steps to get around the hotel which made lugging cases an effort Wouldn't stay again but was OK for the money we paid

I’ve chosen the hotel because of the price. Based on that I cannot criticise it. But we had a huge surprise after arrival. This area is simply unbearable because of the wind. It was freezing. Hardly could keep our clothes on. Full sunshine and cannot enjoy it because of the wind! Towels, cushions were flying. Finally we found some protection behind a glass fence and was being able sunbathing there. Ok, let’s go to Los Cristianos! Even we had a timetable it didn’t work. The hotel has given an old version of it which therefore was useless. Were waiting more than half an hour in the awful wind not knosing when the bus comes. Half an hour later and 15km away it was sunny and calm! Wi-if only worked at reception. I didn’t want to sit there in the dark. The owner’s picture was everywhere. I found it strange. If I need to describe “old fashioned” I would show this hotel as a sample. We had everything we needed but it was just odd. Very strong fragrance in the whole apartment which even made my stomach upset! We had a very nice meal in the restaurant. But because of the wind we couldn’t enjoy the terrace. Needed to change the table and go inside. Putting everything together I won’t go back again! Be careful! The price is that because of the circumstances! Just made our stay more difficult. Even the airport is very close it cost €15 as no reliable bus service and mostly not on Sundays!

Royal Park Albatros is of a generally very good standard for a hotel of its class. We just had to deplore the behaviour of other guests, very noisy throughout the night in the room above us. This didn't help in getting proper rest. Otherwise, everything was OK, location, space, cleanliness and service.

Good resort hotel
Only stayed for one night so didn’t see much. Very good for a stopover if you have an early or late flight out of Tenerife south airport. Breakfast at the sister hotel next door was very good and good value.

Nice Hotel in a Middle to a tourist Area
The hotel was good and the staff were friendly and helpful. It is located about 10 minutes walk from the cost, but the beaches are a taxi ride away. There is plenty of restaurants and bars in the area. The only draw back the wifi signal only covers the hotel lobby area.

Stayed in 1 bedroom (sleeps 4) superior apartment with double bed. Bedroom was in good condition but the sofa bed in the sitting area is not comfortable to sleep for adults. Overall, good value for money and a lot of sea facing restaurants within walking distance.

Nicely situated apartment and comfy settee. Fridge needed defrosting, new mattress needed on bed, left red marks on my back, no toaster, bottle opener, tin opener, and only one bed side lamp. They were good and brought us some of these items.

Centre of Golf Complex
Central position in the Golf Complex Golf Del Sur. Plenty of restaurants near by and on a main bus route. I found the complex very pleasing, poor bar/restaurant a little disappointing but only due to slow service, food was fine. I would return again but only to a 1 bed room not a studio.

Shabby , dated room crawling with ants and bugs . Terrible mattress . Huge complex with dreadful signs . Difficult to park near appropriate block as no signs . Free Wifi is only in reception but this is a massive impersonal resort . Expectations were low as only paid £54 but this was worst hotel I have stayed in for 25 years .

Only comment is that we had a very uncomfortable mattress in our apartment , so maybe an upgrade in the mattress would be a great improvement..... once again we loved our stay and will be back Thank you

Despite being a big complex with huge apartments/rooms that were fairly clean I was quite dissapointed with my stay. No wifi in room as advertised. No air con in room. Our cupboards were infested with ants making it impossible to cook in there. Housekeeping only comes once a week. Definitely not a 4* hotel. The facilities however, the pool, games room, pool bar etc are great! Wouldn't stay here again nor would I reccomend it unless the rooms were updated and housekeeping was more regular. It's a shame as it has the potential to be a great hotel! Only other thing was that it is VERY far away from Los Cristianos/Las Americas area, 40 mins on the bus, and the buses are once an hour. There are a couple of restaurants in the area (if you head out of the hotel and do a right, keep following) you will come to San Blas. There are 4/5 restaurants but no night life. There are a few local Irish bars that are open until maybe 12am. Our favourite restaurant in the area was The Terrace, great Italian food with live music! The actual area of Golf Del Sur is very picturesque but is just not great for anyone looking for a bit of atmosphere.
