I'm very fussy and have stayed in some top hotels, but this hotel is definitely worth it's 5 stars. It's in a great location if you don't mind a 5 minute walk to the beach but there a frequent cheap taxis, and the view is worth the walk. The staff are lovely and attentive, the interior and the rooms are very well presented and the pool area is up there with the best. We were only B&B but the choice and food was very good. I would highly recommend a panoramic sea view on a higher floor. We spent evenings out however the entertainment was fantastic, we would watch and listen from our balcony. The only negative I can point out is I believe water should be free in a 5 star hotel, you are charged for bottles in your room, it's not expensive but it's not something I've ever encountered before.
Family holiday. Husband and I, his sister, partner and 13 year old daughter. We loved the rooms, location, warm swimming pool, friendly restaurant staff, helpful reception staff, fantastic food.
We will be back!
This was our 6 th time of staying in this wonderful hotel. The staff are amazing really friendly and helpful. This Hotel is right on the beach and it is in a fab location very close to bars and restaurants
Lovely hotel, staff, environment and would definitely recommend to others and may stay again if returning to Tenerife. We had a corner junior suite with a wrap-around balcony which had a lovely main view of the pool and a side view of the sea. The room was spacious and spotless but did not have any coffee making facilities, which we would have liked. Housekeeping was excellent. The added bonus of having the children sleep in a separate TV room within our room meant we could put them to bed first without having to have all the lights out at their bedtime. This was a lovely change as on previous holidays we have always shared with the children.
We loved the three pools which our children spent mostly of the holiday in and the added security of a life guard and again the cleanliness was excellent. The children also loved the mini-club and mini-disco activities. I have only given 3/5 for room comfort as the air-con was not good. It smelt of cooking as if it came through the kitchens first (a little odd, given we were on floor 9) and it was not cold. It was moving cooler air about but not enough to make us comfortable on the hotter days. As we were on floor 9 we resorted to leaving the sliding doors open in our room and we benefitted from the sea breeze then. Obviously we couldn't do this in the children's room for safety reasons. Hotel is a little dated but lovely.

We (2 couples late 50's) stayed for 10 days at the Gala Hotel in Jan 2014. It was one of the best holidays we have had in the Canaries. Don't be mislaid by our advanced years we like to go out at night and relax during the day. The hotel is ideally situated for night life and close to the beach. The hotel itself is beautiful and the staff couldn't be more helpful.
When we first arrived we were given rooms at the back of the hotel which were quieter. When we said we would prefer rooms overlooking the street we were moved as soon as rooms were available which was only 2 days later. We were given the keys to the new rooms in advance to ensure we were happy then we moved. As I said the reception staff were excellent and it didn't matter who we spoke to they were all aware of what was happening.
The hotel was spotless and the amenities were great. Always beds and matresses available by the pool and when it came to settling the bill for extras it was dead accurate.
We would be happy to recommend the hotel to anyone and have done to some of our friends. The whole experience of booking with Expedia was great and we will be doing it again.
been there many times before. The rooms are spacious and while the kitchen may not have an oven, a half decent cook could use what is available to rustle up some decent grub. Local wine (very drinkable!!!!)in the supermarket next door is stupidly inexpensive so don't be hung up on having to spend oodles on a known brand. There are plenty of good restaurants in the area. Find the ones you like!!
