“poor choice but only choice available”

Choices of motels in Salado are limited- this one is cheapest but that is no "giveaway" with prices being double those available 20 miles down the highway. Weekend prices are significantly above weekday prices; preditory pricing. Services are nothing outstanding, no more than what would be expected. Motel is operated by asian family which does not speak "american" English and they do not understand american English; they are hard to be understood. If a person is "passing through", I would strongly suggest the traveler continue 20 miles on either north or south.

Area recommendations
"Main street" has many interesting and well-stocked antique or art shops. If you take the time to look, you may find unusual things to take home. The Stagecoach Inn has an excellent restaurant, good food, good service.
