Perfect for a rainy day

Posted 29-Jul-2014
Pros: STAFF! Location! View!
Location: The location, in Mountain Village, was fabulous. Lots of restaurants near by and free gondola to the top of the mountain and then into Telluride.
We were initially put in a very small room without a view. The staff was wonderfully accommodating and moved us to a larger room -- with a great mountain view -- and it only cost a little bit extra. Staff was outstanding, they remembered our name, our dog's name and every time we came through the lobby they remembered what we had been planning to do that day! Our room had a goofy lay-out but was extremely comfortable -- especially on the day we were forced to remind indoors because of rain; so cozy with plenty of room for the three of us to find a special place to nestle in.

Very upscale hotel

Posted 15-Jul-2014
Pros: Staff
Location: Right next to the gondola to ride down to town.
Best thing about this hotel was the service. We were welcomed by Charlie, who greeted us as if we were family at Christmas time. All staff members were very accommodating. Excellent location. Very comfortable rooms.

Location, Location, Location

Pros: Staff and location
Location: Summertime: Hiking, biking, shopping, fishing, rafting
We went to the Telluride Wine Festival in June and thoroughly enjoyed our time in this beautiful part of the country. The Inn at Lost Creek has a friendly and well trained staff and such a great location. Weather great, delicious dinner at the REV, and would return to the Inn next time

Pros: Everyone was frIendly and helpful, desk staff to maids. Questions about local events and hiking trails were answered with knowledge and enthusiasm.
Cons: The breakfast was lovely, I only wish there had been tea included. Also, bathrooms need a fan.
Location: Location was handy for hiking and reaching Telluride. Lots of other activities available. Beautiful views all around.
We arrived during an off-peak time and had quite a bit of time to talk to desk staff about hiking etc. The room was very nice since it was on the 6th floor with high ceilings and lots of light. Not much space for luggage, though. Good for 2 people, very cramped with a third person.

Great place to stay in Telluride

Posted 18-Jun-2014
Pros: Views!! We liked the lodge decor and furnishings, and the overall look of the public spaces and rooms is very inviting.
Cons: The web site doesn't mention the required valet parking fee, as there is no free parking any where in Mountain village.
Location: Hiking and biking trails near by. Town of Ouray, with hot springs pool, water falls and shopping. History power station at Ames. Scenery....
This was our first visit to Telluride area and we really enjoyed our stay in the Inn at Lost Creek. It's a beautiful location, easy to get to, restruants near by and the free Gondola to hiking trails and Telluride. The hotel has only about 30 rooms so it's quite and almost like having your own private lodge. The staff is extremely attentive and took care of us from the moment we arrived. If you visit during one of the many festivals this place would be a great home base away from the crowds in town.

Pros: Location, off season price, staff & view!
Cons: Can't think of anything that I would want to put down to improve!
Location: Ride the gondola down to Telluride, hiking, photography, bike riding & just soaking up the beauty. We live in Colorado & this is an amazing place!
Great staff, location & restaurant in the hotel, Siam's Talay Grille. Nice happy hour appetizer & drinks. Loved the outdoor tables & amazing view. We will definitely be going back!

Excellent stay!

Cons: Nothing
Friendly, accommodating staff, reservable hot tub (no fee), clean rooms with balcony and located right next to the free gondola to Telluride. Best (free) hotel breakfast I have ever encountered. We WILL stay here again.
