Great hotel in a great location

Pros: The shuttle driver that took us & our skiis to the gondola and anywhere in town that we wanted to go
Cons: Cleaner bathrooms
Nice stay. Liked the Nook restaurant for breakfast, the ski storage service, the friendly shuttle driver.

Elegant Hotel close to the slopes!

We checked in on a Thursday in early spring and the pear mint water in the lobby was a great welcome. Our room was very cute and had a quaint balcony with views up the mountain. We sat out on the balcony to stargaze at night and the crisp mountain air made the stars really pop. We had our three year old with us so we decided to order dinner in. The stocked kitchenette had everything we needed: plates, wine glasses, silverware and water glasses. We only stayed one night but we definitely plan to return one day!

Wonderful Hotel in an Amazing Town!

The hotel Telluride and staff gave us a spectacular week. We particularly liked the fireplace and live music in the lobby - and the around-town shuttle was super convenient.

Not for people who really want to ski the mountain

Posted 12-Mar-2015
Champagne for our anniversary delivered a day late. The shuttle service was hit and miss, mostly miss during our stay7 days) . Three times we called and waited 45mins for the shuttle to pick us up at the gondola. He never came, even after calling twice. Same for experience in Telluride for dinner. We called to get our complimentary shuttle back to the hotel, he never showed. It was cold on the approx 7blocks home walk. King bed deluxe rooms have no privacy for you and your spouse. A few of the people at reception were polite, but others seemed put out. Ice machine on 2nd floor weren't working. Apparently this hotel accepts all sizes of dogs. The 'carpet' in our room was dingy, dirty. It was not a pleasant experience. I will say the beds comfortable. We will be on the mountain next season

A great 4 days in Telluride

Posted 06-Mar-2015
Pros: The location was an easy walk into town. A free shuttle was available at all times if needed due to the weather or just to keep from walking.
Location: Needless to say very close to the Gondola and lifts for sking. An easy walk to town, for shopping and great restaurants.
We arrived during a snow storm and left with snow falling. We were welcomed early at our Hotel and promptly taken care of. Our room was spacious, clean and on the first floor. The staff was very friendly and answered all of our questions.

Overnight at Hotel Telluride

Posted 21-Feb-2015
Pros: So very clean, attractive design of lobby and rooms. Small veranda off our room to enjoy.
Cons: The room was really warm at night. We had to reduce thermostat setting for a more comfortable sleep. Hotel wanted $20 to park, $30 for breakfast!
Location: Near the west end of town. A ten minute walk to the business section, restaurants, etc. A five minute drive to the free parking lot near Ski Lift #7.
Our experience at this hotel was excellent. It's a well kept property and the staff was friendly. Rate wasn't bad ($200 including tax) considering the time of year and rates elsewhere in town. Note that if you park on the street in Telluride you have to be very careful not to violate signed parking restrictions. Look carefully for the signs. This is the only hotel where I've stayed that has hot water plumbed to the commode. A good way to warm your bum in the morning! Staff at desk told me it was a plumbing error, so probably not all rooms have warm toilet seats! There's a place to store your skis in the lobby. Our stay was short, so we did not have an opportunity to enjoy the hot tub/spa area.

Location: The hotel is in the town of Telluride, not too far from the free gondola. Plenty of restaurants nearby to choose from.
I actually did not get to stay at The Hotel Telluride, there was a mistake and they were booked up. The hotel called me beforehand and had already made arrangements for my husband and I to stay at the Madeline Hotel instead. We were very pleased with the Madeline, and how the Hotel Telluride handled the situation. We did go to the Hotel Telluride one night for dinner. The food was excellent, then we walked around the hotel. We couldn't see any of the rooms, but the hotel itself was very nice. We think we would have enjoyed the stay there as well.
