“Good Option in Tel Aviv”
The Carlton is a reasonably priced beach-front hotel. The hotel restaurant options were fine. The staff were pleasant, responsive, and helpful, and the room was comfortable, quiet and clean. My only complaint is that the hotel does not offer good internet service, which I consider a must for a hotel that represents itself as a business-class hotel. The Carlton charges for internet access, whether in the room or in the lobby ($8 per hour and substantially more for a 24-hour period), which in my experience is sub-par for a buseinss-class hotel.
“More like a 3 star hotel --if that”
The hotel is definitely not a 4 star hotel. The bathrooms are old, towels are old and the room did not seem clean. Would never stay there again.
“Favorite hotel”
Whenever I am in Tel Aviv I like to stay at the Carlton Hotel. This time there was easy access to the beach and a new deck added outside the lobby where you could order light snacks. A taxi was always available to go to other parts of the city.
“Service we didn't think existed in Israel”
We stayed at several hotels during our stay in Israel, and staff were indifferent to our needs, but not so at the Carlton. We were annoyed at having to pay for wireless service, and the hotel gave us an hour free to take care of our business. We needed a carseat for our ride to the airport, and they provided it. When we asked for anything, the staff was polite and accomodating (though no one knew what "turndown service" was, they made an effort to provide it when requested). This seems simple, like the basics of good service, but we stayed at other expensive, fine hotels in Israel where, when we asked about rooms at a hotel owned by the same chain, we were told we could call (and not given the number), when we asked for a taxi, we were told they'd stop if we went out to the street and waved one down, and where service was clearly not emphasized. With a beautiful building, a lovely room and a gorgeous view, the Carlton was like a breath of fresh air. We would definitely stay there again.
“Great Hotel!”
I would highly recommend this hotel if your going to Tel Aviv and want a great location on the beach!
“Location, Location, Location!”
Great location on the beach, an easy walk to shopping, dining, markets etc. One thing to note: In the description of room views, the superior sea room does not mean a full-on view of the ocean! I upgraded on line to an superior sea room expecting to have an unobstructed view of the ocean! The superior sea room was located on the side of the building and looked south to Jaffa. There was some sea to view, but one had to look over roof tops and construction to catch a glimse of the ocean! If you want a full-on ocean-view room, you will need to upgrade to the highest level offered or indicate that you want an ocean front room!
“Room was great, good location on the beach”
only downside was the hotel is having some work carried out to the public areas but I think this will finish soon - View from the pool was great.
“Gute Lage - Hotel Carlton”
- Lage sehr gut - sehr zuvorkommende Angestellte im Hotel - Frühstück sehr gut, Separater Bau am Meer - Teppiche in dem Zimmern - sehr kleiner Balkon - Kleiderschrank relativ klein und etwas schwer zugänglich - Dachterasse mit Pool wirkte etwas ungepflegt
