"A beautiful Hall, with friendly staff"
Super hotel, gorgeous rooms, friendly service. Some very slight reservations about the evening meal in the Bistro but mostly caused by a very picky eater but we both agreed the breakfast was sumptuous with everything there to suit anybody's taste. The most amazing modern chandeliers in the huge dining room give it a real elegance with a modern twist. The only possible complaint was poor signal on the wifi but they are just about to set up a whole new system.

"Friendly, Quirky Hotel"
This hotel is very convenient for the airport and all major routes in the North East. It is quirky and a little old fashioned in it's facilities and decor but has a great sense of history as it was a mess for the RAF. The hotel staff a excellent, very friendly and rightly proud of the history behind their building. A huge bonus is that they welcome pets in all parts of the hotel but you wouldn't know from entering the building, no pet hair everywhere or smelling of animals. This isn't the most modern hotel but it was clean and the bed was comfortable, plenty of hot water and the power of the shower rates much higher than most modern hotels I've stayed in over the years. Room was a bit cold when I got there but the duty manger did sought that out for me. Breakfast is very good, plenty to choose from. There was only meals available in the bar when I was there, which wouldn't be suitable if you were entertaining guests, especially as there is a pool table with a huge TV screen that some guests seem to use a lot and can be a bit obtrusive if you are looking for a quiet drink. None the less, I was happy to sit there on my own with a drink and book & felt comfortable. Excellent value for money if you get a deal.

"Enjoyable stay"
I enjoyed my stay at the hotel. Spent just a night. Outlook of the building may not be the best in the world but the room is clean and decent. I had said to the owner that I will definitely visit again.

Had to work in Middlesbrough for 10 nights shifts. Booked with ease via expedia. Easy to find location. Checked in with Jim, who was very accommodating through out my stay & in me working nights where he arranged all the bed changing etc around my shifts, without disturbing my sleeping during the day. Very nice pub & even though I didn't get a chance to try their food, it looked good. Not too many luxuries in the room (TV etc) however can't grumble for the money, en suite shower/toilet was fine. Very local to Yarm's high street which is nice place to visit. Also a one stop convince store right opposite which was well handy for picking up food etc for the night shifts.
