Quaint Historic Hotel
So much History! Great value for a nice room. In the heart of old town tarifa. Staff was friendly. Spent 3 nights. Had to request bath towel and TP re-fill, and they didnt clean till we left, which was fine with us for only 3 nights. We loved it.

Fantastic location and great room in a beautiful old building. My room looked out on the street, which was fun. All rooms open to central courtyard. Such a cute place. Simple, but just what I needed.

Great little place.
This was our 2nd time here. It is good, but a few things needed to get a better rating. Coffee in the lobby in the morning or a maker in the room. A mirror by the desk for the hair dryer. Also an extra floor mat and hook to hang it on after showering would be helpful. We do like staying here and find it funny that we've had the same two rooms both times.

Need better lighting and a plug in (for hair dryer and curler) by a mirror so women can see to do their hair.

It was a little warm and the "free standing" AC unit wouldn't turn on due to rusted batteries in the remote. I saw the lady in charge and she brought us a different remote. Later the wifi died and never came back on. We had no way to contact her since she didn't stay on the property and we didn't have a phone. This was important to us since we use the internet to map our routes for the next day. Over all, it was a disappointing experience. Rick Steves led us wrong for the first time.

Hotel is right in the middle of Tarifa but then again you really don't have to be since it is quite small. The hotel staff was very nice, we booked after she had gone home but she was quite accommodating on a self-check in. The bottom floor smelled like sewage very badly the entire stay however that did not permeate into the room. The room was comfortable enough however it is a stairs only facility and the room was 3 flights up. Not recommended if you need a lift for assistance.

Beautiful place, Great employee BUT....
As said, this is overall a very nice establishment in a fantastic location with great employees. The problem, a big problem was the comfort of the bed. We travel a lot, we’ve been on the road for 1 month, with 4 more to go and honestly speaking-this was a very broken down mattress that ruined us for a day. Sorry, it pains me to say this because everything else was nice. But the mattress has got to go....

Downtown Tarifa
Everything was paid beforehand, so I didn't need to check in. The keys were waiting for us when we arrived, but the lobby hours are short. We had to make an international call to get the code to enter the hotel because we arrived after 2pm. I think the call lasted 2 minutes and cost me $15. The room layout was cool and the decorations modern. But I couldn't open my balcony door because one of the hinges was broken, the floor was soft and spongy like it was going to fall through, and many of the planks of laminate weren't butted up together so there were cracks all over the place. Didn't ruin our stay. The town was quiet and cool, and the location was perfect. There is a pastry shop/bakery just up the hill, 50 steps from the hotel, that is AMAZING.

Hotel was abandoned & was unfit to sleep in
When we arrived to this hotel, there was no one to greet us and we couldn't get in. We had to get a phone that could make international calls to contact the hotel personnel, who simply told us to type in a code and gave us a room number. All of the other hotels scanned passports for safety, these people did not care about security or safety. After entering, we found that the hotel was completely vacant. All of the doors still had keys in them and could be unlocked.. it looked like the place had been abandoned. The wifi only worked in the main lobby and did not work in the rooms. We discovered that our room door would not lock, so after putting all of our belongings down, we couldn't leave the room. We arrived around 9 but at 10:30, all of the lights were turned off. We thought they may be motion censored, but they weren't and the lights could not be turned back on. This may have just been for cost-cutting during the off-season. Another cost-cutting tactic was not using heat. It was around 50 degrees and there was no heat, so the place was frigid. There were no extra blankets to make up for the fact. There was also no hot water. I typically stay at hostels, so all I'm really looking for an accommodation is a safe place to sleep and shower. I didn't find that here. I had to book another hotel after arriving, and left this one.This was my worst hotel experience ever. This hotel should just close during the off-season if they're going to be this hands off.

Ok for a short stay
Stayed one night before taking the ferry to Morocco. A really nice area close to the port. The hotel had no staff there when we arrived but the woman we called where very helpful and gave us the info we needed. The room would need some renovations but totally ok for that price. A bit nosy from the bars outside but nothing that bothered us.

Fun, unique little hotel.
Cute place! Be sure to read your info about check in and out times... I didn’t and had to wait a few min for them to come open the building. Once your there you have a code and can come and go with no problems. Right in the center of dining and a couple minutes walk to the sea/port of interested in crossing over to Morocco. Fun little town.

Good location; not a real hotel!
This is more of a hostel than a hotel. Crude door lock, minimal accessories, minimally manned desk. Nice folks, just not available before 10am or after 2pm. Tiny bed, one room shower and bed room. Loud street below. Zero non-Spanish tv channels.

Good Place to Stay
I just stayed one night. Used a parking lot on the other side of the cathedral. Free parking. Easy 5 min. walk to the port for the ferry to Tangiers. Great location in the Old Town and access to the port.

Hotel location very good and the room just as I expected:- good size, good shower, nice little terrace but the air conditioning unit is very loud almost to the point where you can't sleep through it !!! Went to make a cup of tea and/or coffee in the morning, very disappointed - plastic cups the size of a large thimble, no coffee, ordered hadn't arrived yet !! when i questioned why someone just simple go the shop in the short term i was told 'not possible' also no milk, not even a creamer.

Very nice hotel, excellent location.
Very nice hotel in superb location. Right next to bars and restaurants. Nice little walk down to the beach which seems also very nice. Room could have been slightly bigger. Air con system old and very loud sounded like a jet engine in the corner of the room. Therefore needed window open and as its location it is very loud until early hours.

At the last minute we canceled reservation in Tangiers and stayed two nights in this charming, sweet, comfortable Casa. Smartest decision ever. Close enough to walk to ferry and quickly be in Morocco without the culture shock and stress of staying in Tangiers! Natalia is a most beautiful, friendly and gracious hostess! The village has a lot to offer and there is both a fun night scene and an array of restaurants and shops.

Lovely Hotel in a nice area of the Town.
This is a lovely hotel in a great location. It's close to the ferry terminal and in the Old Town. There is an abundance of lovely bars & cafes nearby. The staff member was friendly & helpful.

We were hoping to have a boutique hotel experience Customer service was a joke as the owners were out of the building 95% of our time in the hotel AC was old and noisy we were unable to use it because the noise Having ikea furniture make the place be short of character well overpriced for what it is.

Friendly guest house, prime location
Well decorated hotel with spacious, comfortable rooms at this guest house in the heart of Tarifa's old city. Reception is staffed until 2 p.m., so if you arrive in the late afternoon or evening, email ahead. Wifi worked in the courtyard but was out in my room (5) during my stay. Nice, friendly hotel

Tarifa is a lovely city, just a ferry ride from Tangiers. We were greeted by a young woman in reception who spoke English very well, having lived in the U.S. for a number of years. She directed us to two great restaurants and was very helpful. The room was nice, but the bathroom was a little odd, with the sink on one side of the small tiled room, the toilet on the other, and a shower right between them. No real door to the bathroom to speak of, just a kind of shutter, so not much privacy. That said, we really enjoyed our two day stay in Tarifa.

The manager was very helpful with information about the Tangier ferry etc. The room was modern, clean and nicely furnished. The hotel is on a vibrant street with lots of bars and restaurants. However the room was quiet enough with the shutters closed.

Very central - but not in best shape
There is NO Wi-Fi. We did got a login for it but it doesn't reach to the room as the walls are thick. Very high stairs to come up to the second floor. Doesn't matter but it's good to know. The room was clean, beds OK. But I miss small things that make your visit easier. Like a shelf in the bathroom for your toiletries, a shelf in the shower for your shampoo and soap. The room has the toilet inside the room without a door and without a inner roof - so everything that happens there heard and felt inside the room. There is a shower curtain for the privacy of the toilet. On the up side, very central and nice location. Nice breakfast for 12€ at their hotel next door. You also collect the key from the next door hotel.

Thank you ! The wifi conecction sometime in high season is lazy, we are so sorry but there is nothing we can do. there is not cable in the old center. We have one antenna by room and another one in each floor, anbd the maximum contracted. We use to notity in the check in Best Regards

Great location in Tarifa.
Great location in the center of Tarifa! We had the junior suite which was great. Lots of restaurants, bakeries and bars on walking distance. We parked at the municipal parking, that was free when we where there.
