“Holiday Express Taoyuan - Good Choice for Overnight Stay”

Hotel room is modern and clean. Close to airport by taxi. Highly recommend for overnight stay after long oversea flight.

“A standard Holiday Inn Express hotel”

Our room is kind of small, but the layout and space was efficiently designed and managed. The room was clean and well maintained daily by the maids. The front desk and restaurant staff were real nice and helpful. Based on my previous experience with Holiday Inn Express in the states, in general, this hotel is not that much different. The draw back was the neighborhood. The hotel is surrounded by several auto garages, and lack of places to eat , shop or walk around. The traffic in front of the hotel was busy, it needs some time to adjust for a foreigner. Since we have relatives in the area and were using taxis all the time, therefore, this inconvenient was not bothering us that much. Overall, this hotel is satisfactory to my wife and me.

“Stay over in Taipei”

The hotel is comfortably close to the airport - a short 20 minute taxi ride. The staff were very helpful. I didn't have cash to pay the taxi driver, which they did for me. They also changed my reservation date for free after the airline changed my itinerary. This is despite the fact that they have a 100% charge cancellation policy. The room was very neat and had everything I needed for a stay over between flights. Not sure what the area is like as I never needed to leave the hotel.

“taiwan”

nice, clean, quiet hotel. Friendly and helpful front desk staff. Room was a little small, but perfect for travelers that are going to be out and about. Good breakfast selection.

“Good stopover to and from airport.”

A lovely, clean hotel with pleasant and helpful staff. The only downside was the breakfast, which could have had more variety.

Area recommendations
The city centre is adequate, but Taipei is where you would really want to be. It's good when travelling to and from the airport.
When to go
If you're travelling to and from the airport late at night or first thing in the morning from places around Taiwan other than Taipei (county), then it's a good place to relax after a long flight or before heading off.

“finally, a bathroom with adequate lighting!”

My experience at Holiday Inn Express was the best out of five hotels in which I stayed during a recent 2-week holiday in Taiwan, Cambodia and Vietnam. It is ideally situated for people who are just passing through or who have a layover.
