The breakfast buffet was great! The sauna and pool is being remodeled so unfortunately I couldn't use them. The bed was comfortable but the rooms are very dated. Lots of wear and tear. The hairdryer is junk and would take a long hour to dry my hair. Staff in the restaurant for dinner was very inattentive, worst customer service..I had to go ask for a refill and ask for my check.

Lovely location and the staff were extremely nice and helpful. The shelving was hot due to the fridge in the cupboard. The biggest downside was no aircon in the rooms - temperatures day and night of 30C .

Family-friendly hotel in a great location!
A nice hotel in a great location! As others have stated, the rooms could use some updating, but overall the place was clean, beds comfortable and in an excellent location. Our only small annoyances were the small bathroom (but how much time does one spend there anyway), the fact that the cleaning staff did not take out the trash when they made up the room while we were out and the amount of people at breakfast (We were provided trays when we asked to take food to our room, as trying to still stay covid safe, so points for that!). Front desk staff was friendly and helpful. The pool area was nice and quiet for an evening swim and quire relaxing. A nice to have for sure! We would stay here again.

Great Location - Mediocre Hotel
Paid for river view room (300/night) and the room was comparable to a cheap motor lodge. Windows were extremely dirty defeating the purpose of a room with a view. Floor was beat/scratched up really badly and the bedding was horrible; old beds and a single very old pillow on each bed. Buffet was the same buffet they have at every Scandic I've stayed at in Finland. Would not stay here again.

Good stay, breakfast needs better quality control
Nice location, good stay. At Breakfast, simple management is needed so that dozens of croissants don’t become flattened to nothing in the container used for them.

No proper lounge area. Previous lounge area now given over to the restaurant. Pillows like marshmellows. Small rooms and not luxurious given the price. City centre location is excellent.

Two night business stay
The service was always very helpful during my stay and I had a lovely meal in the restaurant on my first night (which was great after a long day of travelling). The room was OK although the shower wasn't very powerful. I think it would be Ok for a short stay.

Well the check inn experience was horrible, the receptionist was not welcoming at all, and we felt that both of us, pretty rude encounter. So you can imagine the first encounter with the hotel that made us be feeling we have definitely made the wrong choice regarding the hotel. However we had a really nice experience with a Trainee person the next day at the reception, she should teach those some manners.

Outdated, but sufficient
The interior of the hotel is outdated, so don't expect anything fancy. However, as with most hotels in Finland, you will get a clean room, a hearty breakfast and good service. I didn't have the time to try the hotel pool or sauna.

Well situated hotel, but very tired and in need of refurbishment. The staff were friendly and helpful. The breakfast room was so badly lit it was difficult to see where everything was.

Central location, wonderful breakfast
The room was very quiet and clean. However, it was also small and a bit crowded and it was a bit tricky to get past the first bed to the work desk. Service staff was very friendly and the breakfast buffet was wonderful with great variety.

A good hotel with excellent location
Accommodation for Tampere Jazz Festival. All good - nice and quiet room, good breakfast, excellent location of the hotel. Good service, fast work in the reception. A good garage to keep the car in. Very happy overall.

Great view of Tampere as always! Also the breakfast is excellent. The room is very basic but has everything you might need and it’s a little fancier than when it was a Cumulus hotel.

Brilliant Location
The hotel is in a really fantastic location, just an easy 5 minute walk from the train station. Lots of bars and restaurants very close. Lovely service and quick check-in upon arrival. Breakfast was included in the price, bufffet style and good quality - eat as much as you like. Usual Scandic type of room, quite compact but spotless and with wifi. The only real negative was poor air conditioning - we had to leave the window open all the time and the hotel is obviously aware of this as a fan was provided. However, we had a room overlooking the park, quiet enough - so with window open and fan on, no problem.

Convient downtown location
Excellent location for our three-generation party of three families. The huge playground across the street in the Koskipuisto Park is the best we’ve seen anywhere, and all shops and restaurants are nearby, as are bus stops with easy connections to other places.

We stayed based on the reviews. We knew not to expect luxury but room was very disappointing. Overlooked parking area. Staff was kind enough to move our room, per our request. Rooms are very small and beds not so comfortable. Location was great!
