Rooms

The Grand Hyatt has 445 guestrooms including suites and Casitas. With the exception of the Casitas, all accommodations provide floor-to-ceiling windows. Room décor includes inlaid teak furniture and tropical floral-motif artwork. Sitting areas are furnished with upholstered armchairs and hassocks.

Wired and wireless Internet access (surcharge) is available in all guestrooms. Baths have large vanities with side lighting and granite shower/tub combinations.

All rooms include Hyatt's signature Grand Bed: Sealy Posturepedic mattress; 250-thread-count triple sheeting; down blankets; decorative throw; and an array of European, roll, and throw pillows. The Casitas also feature cool tile floors and ceiling fans.

Casitas are located approximately one quarter-mile from the main hotel building. Complimentary shuttle service is provided between the two destinations.

“SPECTACULAR SERVICE!!!!!!!”

Spectacular view room. Early luggage check-in. Concierge that went the extra mile. Bellpeople that were friendly, Restaurant with spectacular wines and well displayed fresh fish dishes and staff that was superb.Breakfast fruit crouisannts were out of this world and a nature trail walk that was soothing...... After a crappy cruise, it was nice to be treated like royalty. KUDOS TO HYATT!!!!!

Busch Gardens was a blast!! Concierge helped save us money on tickets that included all you can eat there!

“Just wonderful!”

We stayed for the weekend, but could have stayed longer! The room was so comfortable and the staff were extremely nice and helpful! We had the breakfast buffet and the hostess Liala and our waiter Alex were very friendly and attentive. The lobby bar had great service and the "late night menu" was perfect for a snack and cocktail before bedtime. I would recommend this hotel to our friends and family.

“My Hotel in Tampa”

We booked the Grand Hyatt after reveiwing several hotels in the Tampa area on-line. Having never been to Tampa before we didn't know our way around so we asked the front desk personnel for recommedndations and directions for restaurants and other sites and locations in the area. They were extremely friendly and more than willing to help in any way they could. We decided to take their rercommendation to eat at the Oystercatcher restaurant which is located on the hotel property and we were not disappointed - everything was superb, from the cocktails, the appetizers, the wonderful sourdough bread, and the meal itself. The hotel room was nicely decorated, comfortable and had a fabulous view overlooking Tampa Bay. I would definitely recommend this hotel to everyone and also look forward to the time when we can stay there again!

“Great Experience Again”

“Not Bad!”

Staff extremely helpful and polite. Room clean. Bed Clean and fresh. Elevators need refresh. Lobby bar - good shape. Too far from downtown. If planning on a convention center event, its going to cost 50$ in cab rides back and forth. Should provide a shuttle.

“Awesome”

“Convenient to downtown which suited my purposes”

Very happy with hotel overall. Exercise facility excellent. Like convenience of shuttle to Malls. My only disappointment was that there was no free WIFI.

“Not Impressed”

Seems like the hotel was remodeled. The room did have 2 double beds but no refrigerator (mini Bar), The mini bar was removed and covered up with a fake door. The bathroom had showed it age. The sink was cracked and shower. Make sure if you say to ask for the bayside view because our room overlooked the rooftop of the parking garage. The pool that you have to walk to had no music. The waitress said that the hotel knew about the problem put were not going to fix it. And most important RENT a Car if you decide to do any sightseeing. The hotel is isolated from everything. The restaurants are expensive at the hotel and a bottle of water is very expensive that is in the room

Area recommendations

Clearwater and St. Pete beach are worth the drive for the experiences of seeing the sea shells on the shore and the sunset. Gator's restaurant is awesome and Crabby Bills
