“Jacuzzi luxury”
Had a great time despite the weather being miserable. Location of hotel is fine if you are fit and able to walk the 15 minutes to the old town. The suggestion that the hotel is next to a shopping is a bit misleading as it takes at least 10 minutes brisk walking! Hotel prices were comparable for eating in the restaurant or room service to other restaurants close by. If going to the old town eat on the approach and not in the centre for better value, The Rapid Rabbit was excellent, good value and cooked fresh to order, if you want to eat near the hotel the Mandarin - 2 minutes away - is an excellent Chinese but beware of the portion size, they are huge! Would definitely return but probably save the next visit for the better weather.
“Excellent reasonably priced hotel, short walk from old town”
The hotel is a short walk from the Old Town (10 mins). It is very competitively priced. The staff were all very friendly and neither my partner nor I have anything negative to say about our stay.
“great value stay...”
The hotel is located outside of the old town but in easy walking distance to the old town for sightseeing and eating out in the old town, the breakfast buffet is great and its a really good value hotel. The only downside is the lack of dining options close by, the hotel has a brazilian restaurant and there is a cheap chinese nearby, so we walked back into the old town in the evening for our meals.
“Remarkable Stay”
I cannot say enough for the hotel or for Tallinn. We were told the hotel was a 15 minute walk from the Old Town up a hill but it is no further than a 10 minute walk at a comfortable pace. The staff are very friendly and the hotel itself is very clean, the free internet in the room is a real bonus. Breakfast is probably not the best but for what you pay it is more than adequate. I recommend this hotel to anyone wanting to see Tallinn, which is one of the most amazing places I have ever been.
“Great Hotel”
Stayed here for three nights in November 2009 and I can't speak too highly of this hotel. OK so the hotel is a 10 minute walk from the Old Town (which sounds fine but in Nov it is -2 so that walk seems longer!) and there is nothing to do in the immediate surroundings of the hotel but that's where the cons end. The pros are endless - the staff are very professional and helpful, the rooms are clean and extremely comfortable and if you get a Zen room (and I highly recommend you do) the bathroom is something else. Great hotel... 5 stars.
“Overall i really enjoyed the trip, but would probably go back when it's warmer!”
After an unscheduled stop in Berlin, finally reached the hotel, where upon checking in the receptionist was extremely friendly and helpful. Couldn't fault the room really (except maybe a tad cold, but warmed up very quickly) - it was very clean and well maintained. As it was the middle of January, there weren't too many tourists about, but there was plenty to see and do. A walk along the harbour was very enjoyable - that was probably down to us mucking about in the snow! St Alexander church was amazing - it was like a beacon on a hill. The viewing platforms near here offered really spectacular views off the whole of Tallinn - and i think the snow made it look magical!
“I LIKED THIS HOTEL”
It was just fine for what we needed it for.We did not spend any time here only, up breakfast out,. bback in the evening showered changed out again. So ican not comment on food or service. The breakfast was fine all the usual food.It is agood ten mins from the old town but it is a very pleasent walk on a good day .
“Quite good”
Breakfast was quite disappointing (also was not open for particularly long). Not much do around the hotel, but the bus stops are very convenient and it doesn't take long at all to get into the centre of the city. Room was perfectly fine - good bed etc. Although shower was a bit lacklustre.
“Good value.”
For the money that htis hotel cost I was expecting something really quite basic. However I was pleasantly surprised to find that the quality of the hotel fixtures/fittings/facilities and service was worth far more than I'd paid. The room was clean and very comfortable - with a great shower! The food served in the hotel was also of a good quality. The best thing about this hotel from my point of view though was it's position. It was a short, but pleasant walk, into the old town where "it's all going on" but far enough away so that when you do decide to sleep you can do so in relative peace. I would recommend this hotel to anybody who is looking to travel on a budget but wants to stay somewhere clean, comfortable, friendly and close to the old town of Tallinn.
“Utilitarian experience”
Can't fault the hotel for cleanliness or service of the staff but somewhat underwhelmed since it does not live up to the grandure potraied by the pictures. The interior is to say the least a little tacky and has a very ikea/easyjet feel. Would advise against eating in as the food was an unfortunate experience on the first night. The hotel is conveniently situated within easy walking distance of the old town.
