“Clean and efficient”

Clean hotel, good service, good breakfast, next to airport just a few minutes walk but a five minute bus ride to old town for 2 Euros. Not much in the area. One concern was chargeable services such as the gym but otherwise the hotel was just fine for a short trip.

“Useful hotel in Estonia”

Located within 10 minutes' walk from the airport and with a regular bus service from just outside the hotel. 10 minutes to town centre. Hotel very modern and with excellent cleanliness and facilities. Used by a lot of business people and therefore not family friendly. Was just right for our purposes, though.

Area recommendations
City centre is very attractive. Bus trips are worthwhile - we used Tallinn 48 hour card which was great.

“Fantastic Hotel, great location. 10 minutes to old town by taxi or bus.”

Service was good, rooms were excellent. Wet room with shower, no bath. Large rooms, clean. Staff were very helpful at desk. Staff at bar not so friendly, but overall great hotel.

Old town, the Harbour.

Walk from airport to Hotel. Easy. One stop on bus if you cant be bothered.

“average but okay”

very conveniently located hotel and by no means the worst I've stayed in but two things let it down. Firstly, the smell of the drains in the bathroom and secondly the poor quality of the steak I had whilst dining. Maybe I was just unlucky on both counts and I would probably stay there again as the hotel is so close to the airport. Other than that the stay was okay, room was clean and staff freindly.

“convenient to airport”

the hotel is walking distance to the airport; it is comfortable but not splashy at all. It needs in-room safes. Breakfast was just fine.

“Great hotel for overnight stay”

This hotel is very conveniently located next to the Tallinn Airport. It is the perfect place to stay if you have an early flight out the next day. The rooms are small so its not really a "destination" hotel. I found everything to be very clean and in excellent condition. Even at 5:00 am, the staff was polite and friendly.

“Das Hotel Ülemiste liegt in unmittelbarer Nähe des Flughafens von Tallinn”

Das Hotel fällt in die Kategorie Business-Hotel. Groß und professionell, aber wenig charmant. Die engen Betonsäulen auf dem Hotelparkplatz sind hervorragend geeignet, um Schrammen ins Mietauto zu fahren. :-( Frühstücksbuffet war lecker, Internet trotz Kabel unendlich langsam. Wer einen Kurzurlaub in Tallinn verbringen möchte, sollte sich lieber ein Hotel in der Altstadt suchen. Aber für Transitgäste, die womöglich einen frühen Flug nehmen müssen, ist das Ülemiste sehr gut geeignet.

Area recommendations
Die Altstadt von Tallinn ist zauberhaft. Eine mittelalterliche Hansestadt mit skandinavischen und russischen Einflüssen, in der es immer neue Winkel und Ecken zu entdecken gibt. Wer länger als ein paar Tage Zeit hat, sollte sich den Nordosten Estlands (Laheema Nationalpark) anschauen oder in den Südwesten ans Meer fahren. Die Strände bei Pärnu sind fantastisch und verglichen mit Südeuropa spärlich besucht.

Das Ilon Wikland Museum (Ilon's Wonderland) in Haapsalu ist sehenswert für Kinder (und deren Eltern). Ilon Wikland ist bekannt als die Illustratorin diverser Kinderbücher von Astrid Lindgren. Im Museum können die Kinder z.B. in einer echten "Bullerbü"-Küche oder im großen Spielzimmer im Dachgeschoss spielen. Leider fehlen dem Museum Infomaterialien auf deutsch.
