“Good Hotel - Brilliant Staff”
The room was ever so slightly on the small side but otherwise I could not find anything to complain about. The staff in every department from the reception, restaurant, bar to the housekeepers were always pleasant and efficient. The location is just fantastic 2 minutes walk to Town Hall Square and very convenient for shopping.
“Nothing baltic about the Telegraaf”
We stayed for 4 nights in late October. The hotel's location is in the heart of the Old Town so all sights are within easy walking distance. We found the staff very welcoming with one exception to be found in the Spa.We found the hotel lived up to the high expectations we had from reading Expedia reviews prior to booking. Our room was very comfortable-as it should be for a 5 star hotel. The pool is very much on the small side but otherwise is in a nice setting.Breakfasts were good with additional items available to be ordered over and above the buffet. In summary we would be happy to recommend the hotel to anyone visiting Tallinn As regards the town itself-do not miss the free walking tour arranged through the alternative tourist office-we were lucky to have as our guide Ann who enjoyed poking fun at all and sundry-especially her fellow Estonians whilst clearly having a love for home city.
“5* Hotel higly recommend”
A fantastic hotel in the heart of the old town of Tallinn, great facilities and staff and would highly recommend for anyone going to Tallinn
“Lovely hotel in the centre of the old town”
This hotel is ideally located in the old town, just minutes from the main square. The hotel has a very luxurious feel to it and our room was very comfortable on the top floor. There isn't a large lounge area downstairs but a pleasant bar and cocktails are very reasonable! The restaurant for breakfast was excellent and the spa area looked lovely although we didn't actually use it.
“Hotel Telegraph fully deserves a five star rating”
Our party of four people were unanimous in rating the Hotel telegraph highly. All of the facilities were excellent. The rooms were spacious, beds extremely comfortable and the young staff were frendly and attentive to your needs. The restaurant is extrmely good both for the food and decour. At the end of our five day stay we all agreed that we would positively recommend this hotel for anyone planning to stay in Tallinn
“Great location”
very good location, average staff, average breakfast, not all the rooms look like the web site - check before you end up disapointed. great spa, tiny bar area, would go back but would take a duster.....
“Amazing hotel”
Hotel Telegraaf is truly a 5 star hotel. Located one block away from Tallinn's Town Square, it is a delightfully luxurious hotel with attention to detail. The room was a good size, the bed was very comfortable and the duvet was just right, The bathroom had a walk-in power shower and was also a good size. There was a good selection of food and drink for breakfast, both hot and cold food, with a range of local and international cuisines catered for. I would recommend this hotel to anyone wanting a relaxing yet affordable stay in Tallinn.
“Very impressed”
Fantastic hotel in a great location in old town Tallinn. Will definitely stay there again next trip. Tallinn is beautiful and the hotel just made our holiday. Lots in easy reach. Great scenery and loads of good eating places. Loads of nightlife. Fun and friendly, steeped in history.
“Oasis in busy city”
We arrived in Tallinn after taking an overnight bus from St. Petersburg, and the Telegraaf was just what the doctor ordered: A lovely spa, great food, good service and a perfect location.
“Ambience/location great, service needs work”
Overall, a good experience. The location is perfect for the Tallinn old city, away from the mobbed main square, but accessible to everything. The hotel itself is very smart, the rooms are comfortable if a bit strangely laid out (hard to store luggage). We did not eat there except breakfast (which were a very ample buffet) but the dining room has a good reputation and seemed busy. The "health" facilities are limited -- tiny pool which becomes unusable once any kids arrive, plus steam room/sauna. And rather unnerving "unisex" changing room ! The main problem was the service. Too few staff (and space) for check in and check out, so there were long delays. The breakfast room staff seemed disorganised and/or not well trained. However, the biggest problem came upon arrival -- we were well before check in time and expected to have to wait for the room to be ready. What we did not expect was to have to wait two and a half hours beyond check out time, with no-one apparently interested in expediting the room preparation because they knew we were there already. For me that is standard operating procedure for a decent hotel -- if they know you are waiting, they prioritise the cleaning of your room. In this case we were just dealt with in the ordinary course. So that an anticipated two hour wait became a four and a half hour wait, and no amount of prodding seemed to make anything go any faster. So -- a good location and set up, but they are definitely not ready for prime time yet.
