“very good hotel”

Had a 3 night stay at this hotel ,while on our first vist to Tallinn,our room was great ,very clean and tidy ,nice big king size bed ,breakfast was good,nice and warm for those cold days in Tallinn,supermarket nearby for those things you forgot for your trip

“Extremely good value for money”

Excellent quality of hotel accommodation and very good services; particularly helpful receptionists and good housekeeping service. Breakfast perfectly adequate if a little unexciting. Approx a 15 minute walk to the centre of the Old Town but we chose the hotel for that reason and on the recommendation of a friend. We'll use it again and recommend to family & friends.

Area recommendations

The Old Town. Wonderfully preserved medieval town with plenty of places to eat ranging from excellent tea rooms to expensive dining.

“Clean, nice hotel which suited our needs.”

I stayed at this hotel for two nights in October 2011. The hotel is a converted factory. Its a big building with lots of facilities including sauna, gym, internet, bar, ect. The staff were friendly and approachable. The room was to satisfaction. The location of the hotel is off the North Gate of Old Town, excellent if you want to see that part of Tallinn. All Bars and shops are with in walking distance. If not then there's taxi's or a Tram. I would stay at this hotel again and recommend it.

“Great hotel... some rooms are noisy!”

In some respects, the Domina is perfect for me, a beautiful (inside) hotel with a great location and very helpful staff. What I liked: great staff, location (close to Old Town without the noise), nice rooms. The WiFi worked well and the free breakfast was excellent. Problems: I wasn't able to check in a little early, but no big deal. The noise in my first room was terrible (it was above the main corridor). I had to switch rooms after one night. The second room was perfectly quiet even though it faced the main street. The hotel was a good value, the price was mid-range for Tallinn. I didn't get a chance to eat at the hotel restaurant, but the food looked pretty good and reasonably priced. The other down side is that there's basic nothing in the immediate area, but it's no big deal. I would definitely go back again, but I would avoid the bank of rooms above the main corridor at all costs.

“Ideally located”

A clean and comfortable new hotel in a renovated factory located 300 metres from the old town. Very reasonable price in comparison t most of northern Europe. Would suit business or leisure traveller.

“Unexpected”

The approach to the hotel gave no indication of its ideal siting for visiting the Old City. Our welcome was cool but effective. The near empty restaurant, despite our late arrival - 9pm - served us adequately however on our last night when we sought to eat early there were more people, about six tables, in the restaurant and we waited interminably for less than first class food. The reception staff deserve high praise for their patience in helping with all our arrangements for a trip to Parnu and our departure coping with our lack of knowledge of their language and advising us on finding our way around.

Area recommendations

Do visit the Old City. It is really interesting. We pre-booked a hop-on hop-off bus ticket which turned out not to be the best available. Another firm included three different circuits on one ticket. With only one day in Tallin itself we did not visit any other parts of the city.

What to pack

Be prepared for the temperature to be three or four degrees colder than London and loads of rain.

Estonia went into the Eurozone at the beginning of the year so Euros are what are needed not the Kroons that the guide book advises

“highly recommended”

The hotel is a short walk to the Old City of Tallinn. The staff was extremely helpful- making phone calls for us and printing out vouchers, helping us plan etc. The room was comfortable, clean and modern. We enjoyed our stay there.

“Location,Location,Location”

Top location on edge of old town. Avoid high priced old town and get better value here. Clean, first class breakfast. we paid xxx for 4 nights b/b for 2...say no more, Thanks Expedia, and thanks Domina.
