Great budget hotel

Posted 04-Jul-2015
We had a pretty good stay. It was very cheap and still clean. Great bargain. We slept on our own blankets as we always do in budget hotels. So, can't comment on that, but did not see any bed bugs. The bathroom was super clean and had good water pressure and hot water. Getting more towels or soap was easy too because the cleaning staff was very attentive. Floors were clean and hardwood. The only negative thing I have to say is that we had a smoking room and the smell was unbelievably strong. Also, it was difficult to get the mediocre coffee in the morning because only 1 person was at the desk and they had to leave often and they locked the door. Overall, it was safe, clean, and budget friendly.

Not a bad hotel to stay in it was close to FSU

Posted 21-Jun-2015
Not the worst place I have ever stayed in. It was nice for us because it was in walking distance to the Cracker Barrel restaurant. The only thing that I didn't like is we checked out early but two hours after check out time and they still charged me for the last day wasn't to happy about that.

Motel

Posted 17-Jun-2015
Cons: Put in a fridge
Location: It's right next door to the cracker barrel so you can get breakfast.
The stay was fine for just one night really could do with a fridge but overall I would stay again as it was well priced.

Disappointment

Posted 05-Jun-2015
Pros: The only good thing was when I asked the maintenance man to help me bring down my things he was very nice about it & did this for me.
Cons: Everything. If you don't like this review don't use it, but I won't change it. This I how bad it was. I usually don't complain.
Location: Right off the interstate with good restaurant next door.
There is not much to say that is good about this place. I didn't ask for a smoking room, but that is what I got & it STANK!! I am a 71 year od widow with bad legs, traveling by myself & was put on 2nf floor with no elevator. This was the smallest room I have ever had. It was barely bigger than the bed. It was cheaply furnished. There was no fridge or micro. I got there late, so didn't have an early morning wake-up call. The maid came banging on the door & I told her I was not ready to leave. She tried to open the door & come in anyway. She was back 3 more times, about every 10 minutes. she tried to come in every time . I have never had this happen anywhere before & it is a very poor business practice.

Good for the price

Don't expect anything amazing. There were dirty washcloth in the bathroom, the non-smoking room smelled like an ashtray. Other than that everything was fine.

Nice

The hotel was good not a bad stay at all. We drove a large moving van. Kind of a small lot. Was interesting trying to park a large van. There are lots of trees very pretty. Only bad thing was the roof smelled kind of damp. But hey it's Florida what could expect.

Good Roadside Inn

Posted 27-May-2015
Pros: Clean, quite, near I-10, friendly/helpful staff. Cracker Barrel next door. Great price.
Cons: Two of the lights in our hotel room were burnt out, but the bulbs hadn't been changed.
Location: Cracker Barrel is a great place for breakfast.
We stayed here while moving across the country. We were looking for a clean, quite, inexpensive place to sleep with A/C; and this place fit the bill. Part of the road leading up to the hotel was tough in a 16 ft moving truck with a vehicle trailer, but the hotel itself was great for the price and our needs.

Great Thrifty Tallahassee Stay

Posted 27-May-2015
Pros: Reasonably priced. Friendly staff. Good location. Pet friendly.
Cons: Fan in the bathroom!
This is a great hotel for a low-price stay in Tallahassee. Front desk staff are friendly and accommodating. Rooms are clean and, for a two-star joint, reasonably well appointed. They offer truly non-smoking rooms (no scent residue) and are pet friendly. The location, just off I-10 on Merrimon Ave/Hwy 27 is perfect for getting in, out, and all around town quickly. It's no palace, but it's this thrifty traveler's "go to."

An okay hotel

Posted 16-May-2015
Pros: Their customer service was superb!
Cons: Making sure there are no rodents in their facilities.
Location: It is close to a Walmart and Cracker Barrel. There are many restaurants nearby as well.
The hotel itself was ok. The room looked just like the pictures. The disappointing part was not having a fridge and hearing sounds that were similar to rodents. The room was clean but i had no idea that you had to pay an extra $60 to get a refrigerator. It is disappointing in that sense. Other than that the customer service was excellent!
