“Best stay in Tallahassee so far”

We had to stay just one night in Tallahassee while helping our daughter move into her new apartment. The hotel was right in downtown and very convenient. We wanted a bed and breakfast orignally but there were none close by so after reading reviews we decided on the Governors Inn. I called the hotel in advance to be assured that the room would have central air as opposed to a noisy wall unit. I'm not sure what you would call the type of AC the room had but it was still noisy. We spent an uncomfortable night waking up every time the A/C switched on. We only stayed one night so did not need to try a different room. This was one of the governors rooms with a king sized bed. The rate was jreasonable and probably what we'd have paid at a chain hotel with a wall unit. I would stay there again since it's the best hotel we've found in Tallahassee but will definitely check out the AC before taking the room.
