“wonderful hotel!”
This hotel was wonderful! The breakfast offered many options that varied daily and the service was great. The staff spoke english, which was great because I am still learning madarin. They were always willing to help and answered all questions quickly and effectively. They were also able to write out the chinese characters for locations we wished to take a cab too in case our cabbies didn't speak english, like I said my mandarin is still not super :). The hotel itself is beautiful and the room was a bigger than normal size. The bathroom was awesome with a light up jacuzzi and the shower head had many options. The whole hotel was always very clean and well maintained. The neighborhood is very nice because it's somewhat quiet compared to some of the other neighborhoods that are loud and too crowed. The hotel is only 5-10 minutes from the train, which got us everywhere we needed to go very easily. We will be coming back to this hotel next year and we can't wait!
“Great service and very comfortable, isolated location”
We stayed in an executive suite, which was not really a suite but just a larger-than-normal room with the addition of a couch. The front desk staff were extremely helpful, and though we speak some Mandarin, when our language failed us they could switch to English with us easily. The bed was comfortable, unlike most of the rock-hard beds I've slept on in other Taiwanese hotels. The bathroom is pretty nice -- huge jacuzzi tub, japanese-style toilet, and steam room built into the shower. My husband didn't want to leave the bathroom. The location was the only thing that we found a bit inconvenient. There wasn't too much of interest around, so we took taxis everywhere. The breakfast brunch was fine -- mostly Asian fare, but with a few Western standards.
“Very Good Choise”
Very good hotel, very comfortable, clean and very pleasant staff with good English. I would be happy to go back again.
“Nice, well appointed hotel”
I only did a quick stay in and out of this hotel on a business trip. I was impressed with how professional the service was. They spoke English well and answered questions quickly and accurately. The room was nice, clean, and had nice amenities. I would recommend the hotel.
“Will go back”
The hotel is quite good. Clean and tidy. transport may not be convenient but within 10 min walking distance. No too far for taxi.
“Good and good”
My room price was very good. Maybe that's why, I didn't get a room with window. Staffs are all kind and friendly. They did good job. Hotel is so nice and neat.
“As promising as it sounds”
The hotel lives up to ones expectations. Superb quality and service. The staff was welcoming, courteous and helpful. The only hiccup on their behalf for me was the bubble jets not working in the bath tub. However, my experience exceeded my expectations especially after being at a 5* hotel at Dong Shan, Sozhou and 4* star hotels in Shanghai, China. This hotel is conveniently situated in close proximity to a market street, three metro stations and indeed 2 minutes away from the best sweet shop in town. I strongly recommend Beauty Hotels in Taipei.
“Never Again!”
There were also bed bugs as both of us got bitten by something other than mosquitos!
“Great hotel, bad location”
The rooms were clean even though there was a faint smell of cigarette smoke. Hotel staff were friendly and helpful. Morning buffet was very good but you need to go early as some items run out towards 10am. The only downside was that it was a brisk 15 min walk from the metro which is quite a walk at the end of the day.
“Great hotel for the price, but you may wish to find one closer to the MRT.”
I'm very satisfied with the quality of the hotel and the courteousness of the staff. The breakfast offering was very enjoyable and tasty, and we enjoyed the opportunity to eat some traditional Asian fare. While the hotel's location is equidistant between 3 MRT stations, none are exactly close. It generally took us about 20 minutes walking to get to the closest one. While it's fun to stroll the streets to get the flavor of a city, it's not as desirable in inclement weather. However, there is almost always a taxi available out front and the prices are extremely reasonable. Each MRT station would be between $1 and $2 US from the hotel, so that's certainly a way to mitigate the distance issue when this is really a very above average place to stay. Enjoy your visit to the great city of Taipei.
