“2nd Home in Taipei”

Great staff. Very flexible and eager to help. Hotel has laundry facilities for diy. Housekeeping offered to deliver our clothing from the dryer so that we could go out and enjoy taipei. Even packed a breakfast box for us when we had to leave before their service started. Very nice room. Awesome showers, comfy bed. A little bit of a hike from the MRT but taxi is very affordable.

“very good little hotel”

Ambience is a nice little hotel, good location, hotel staff is very polite and friendly. Breakfast isn't bad and the free afternoon tea is a nice touch. The nearest tube station is about 5-7 minutes’ walk away. Plenty of restaurants and convenient stores nearby. All in all, I enjoyed my stay and would definitely recommend it to others.

“Very good value for money”

A 15 min walk to the MTB and no signposts(but pretty straight forward) however plenty of taxis. Lots of places to eat nearby ranging from very cheap local eateries to restaurants. The buffet breakfast was very good with a choice of European and Asian dishes. There are only 12 tables so it may require a wait, but on our 3 mornings we did not need to wait and saw no-one else waiting, possibly because they are open from 7-10. The staff were very polite, courteous and helpful at all times. Unfortunately it rained for 3 days but the free Hotel umbrellas were most usefull. Our corner room was most spacious with a huge bathroom, standalone bath plus a shower.

“Small hotel with great service”

The Ambience is a relatively small hotel that does an excellent job of catering to its guests. Hotel desk-staff are friendly and helpful, in-room amenities are very good and location is fairly convenient to city-center attractions.

“Taipei Secret's”

Ambience Hotel Taipei is in an ideal location of the town. It’s next to great seafood restaurants and only 5 minutes via Taxi from the Taipei Train Station. Staffs are friendly, free internet and breakfast sold us on this hotel.

“Exceeded expectations”

This is a small boutique hotel, with extremely attentive staff doing their best to meet their customers' needs. Rooms are not huge, but are clean and stylishly furnished. (We did notice the strong smell of bleach when we first checked in though.) We were staying for more than 3 nights and so we got a special deal on Expedia, which was FANTASTIC value for money! The only fly in the ointment was that the doonas were too thick for summer, so we had to turn up the air-con (down to 16C) at night, which is not very environmental friendly. We asked both the front desk staff and the cleaner whether there were thinner things (like blankets) instead of the doonas but were told there were none and we were advised to just use the quilt cover instead. However, when we raised this in the questionnaire upon check-out, the manager's response indicated that there were in fact thinner doonas for summer, and I'm not sure why no one at the hotel seemed to know. But overall, we were very happy with this hotel and would definitely stay there again.

“Excellent Boutique Hotel with lots of Ambience”

We really enjoyed our stay at Ambience. The rooms are very contemporary, clean and quiet. Location is 10 minute walk to the MRT, which is further than we would have liked, but cabs are not expensive and the MRT is easy to get to and easy to use. Lots of restaurants in the area. Enjoyed having a cd player with a cd of music and able to play our ipod. Not enough time to use the DVD player and TV however. Staff is extremely friendly and helpful. Most staff members speak excellent English and are eager to please. Breakfast buffet combines Asian and western items. They set up a little afternoon tea with juices, tea, pastries and cookies that is very nice too. Great place to stay.

“Great hotel, would stay at again”

The hotel was in a decent location but a bit of a trek to get to trains so mainly used taxis. The food in near the hotel was excellent and a lot of busy restaurants with locals eating. The staff were great and a lot of extras are included such as breakfast, wi-fi and afternoon tea. Overall the hotel exceeded my expectations and would likely stay there again. Only thing missing was a pool for the hot weather.
