“Great experience”
Located near the airport but far away from downtown. Great pool and view. Great room and bathroom.
“Great starting point”
Beautiful grounds, incredible pool. The city was not my favorite of the islands but the hotel and staff were wonderful. We stayed in an overwater bungalow and it was fantastic. Snorkeling was not that good. Lotus restaurant was wonderful and the pizza by the pool was reasonably priced. Beautiful view of Moorea. We walked about 15 minutes (out entrance and to the right) to a "Walmart" typle store and picked up drinks, etc. Very safe.
“Over-water-Bungalow with a View of Moorea”
The last time we were here in 2007, we stayed in the main building with a nice large balcony over-looking the infinity pool, and the beautiful island of Moorea. This time we decided to stay in an over-water bungalow (we were 3 adults). It was very roomy and well worth the extra money! You will love it. We snorkelled both days right from our room - there's lots of beautiful colored fish. We actually were feeding them from our balcony while sipping wine - I loved the room so much I never left. I was planning on working out in the new state of the art gym (which ws not there last visit), but choose to do yoga on the dock of our room instead - I just could not get enough of this beautiful view of Moorea. The suite was very large with a sofa-bed for the 3rd guest, and tons of room on the private poorch. The bathroom was modern and large and had a little window looking down to the water. The hotel main restaurant was better priced than the little restaurant on the water. We were going to eat there one night, but we didn't like the menu, so ate in the main restaurant both nights and were pleased with the food and service. The pools looked beautiful, but like I said I didn't venture too far from our piece of heaven on the water. We have already decided that we are going back to the South Pacific again next Christmas, but will be trying the Hilton Moorea next - as they too have over-water bungalows. BTW - I am always happy with our hotel bookings through Expedia.
“The Besto fo Tahiti”
Is the Best Hotel in Tahiti
“Excellent hotel in Tahiti”
The InterContinental Tahiti was an excellent hotel with a beautiful grounds area and lovely lagoon pool areas. We stayed for 7 nights and could not fault it. The restaurants onsite were excellent - especially Lotus with fabulous French cuisine. The staff were friendly and very helpful. Overall an excellent place to stay whilst in Tahiti.
“good hotel”
nice infinity pool with swim up bar. one of the best attractions of this hotel. scuba was fun too! enjoy the awesome restaurant but super expensvie. room service was nice too!
“VERY impressed,”
pools are wonderful as are views. the drinks were a bit weak and very slow in coming. otherwise over the top review
“best hotel on the island of tahiti”
the resturant was good . the buffet was great. our room was very nice with a little balcony with a view. the swimming pools were both really well done, the lagonarium was ok.
“Best of the Worst?”
We were placed in a room with a non-workinging air conditioner. We called and they were to send maintenence to fix the problem. It took 2 hours of repeat phone calls to have maintenence show up to the room. Maintenence could not fix the problem so they moved us to a room with an air conditioner which slightly worked. However, the walls were bubbling and water was leaking down the sides of the wall. In addition, the toilet didn't work and the fixture to flush the toilet fell off at first try. We had to manually flush the toilet by taking the lid off. They do not provide any of the rooms with hand soap so you need to find housekeeping yourself as the front desk would not help. They said it would come and it never did. The rooms are small and old. The 'oceanview' room is nice if you have a scope to peer between a couple of palm trees - otherwise you can enjoy the grassy area below. The meals of course are expensive but at least a bit larger in portion to others (so it is possible for you to share a meal to limit excessive meal costs). The pool is very nice and the snorkling lagoon is good also - don't step on a sea cucumber though... If you are stranded in Tahiti due to an airport strike like we were - then staying at the best of the worst is okay...but I would not recommend for a 'vacation' stay.
“Could have been better”
The room was not truely lagoon view, yet we were charged for that. The service was average. Nothing exceptional. Food and drinks were very costly. 3 times more expensive than outside. Conceige staff not very helpful as limited English was spoken by them. Staff from another tour operator on premises was more helpful. Made several extra charges for incidentals including taxes. had to complain to the manager to get corrected. Manager was curteous and apologetic. Room was partially cleaned on one instance with cofee cups and dirty sponges left in the sink. Complained to management.
