Has a pool!

Posted 27-Jul-2015
Pros: Has a pool.
Cons: Add a small refrigerator!
Location: Safeway is close by. A restaurant is next to the motel.
Clean room, spartan. But it has a pool, which is very important if you are traveling with a kid!

Acceptable

Posted 26-Jul-2015
If it's the only hotel nearby, it's OK. Otherwise, stay somewhere else. The staff are friendly but overworked, the room was clean, if you can get past the smell of bleach & stale cigarette smoke. Wifi costs money, and is a pain in the neck. It's right next to the interstate, so if you're a light sleeper, best of luck to you. But - it's a room, it's clean, and there is a lock on the door. So it's OK.

Good price

Posted 21-Jul-2015
Location: Definitely check out the Lemay Car Museum and the expanded Tacoma Art Museum - Awesome!
I was very happy that in the middle of summer on an impromptu visit to the Seattle Tacoma area that this motel wasn't gouging it's customers with high prices like motels and hotels in Seattle. There is a restaurant, gas station, and convenience store next door. The room looked nice and had a fridge and microwave. The shortcomings of room 227 were: the room wasn't ready until 5pm (check in time 4pm), that the toilet seat wouldn't stay up (you had to hold it up), the frequent refrigerator noise (which wasn't terrible, just frequent); and the TV remote which wouldn't allow you to adjust screen brightness which caused some scenes of a movie I was watching to be very dark. Again it wasn't terrible and I liked the channel selection and getting HBO. Overall Thumbs Up!

Last time staying here!

Posted 21-Jul-2015
Pros: Johnny's at Fife restaurant next door was the only positive.
There is not enough parking for half of the rooms. The cooling units in the room are very noisy. Although pre-booked and pre-paid, they wanted to swipe my credit card for a charge. This is a minimalist unit, without shampoo or anything, but a larger than justifiable rate.

Nice Hotel close to Wild Waves

Posted 18-Jul-2015
Pros: It was clean, beds comfortable, had an out door pool.
Cons: The pools hours could be longer. The pool closed at 8 pm and I think 9 or 10 pm would be better.
Location: The motel is just 6 miles from wild waves theme park and about a 20 minute drive to the zoo and aquarium in Tacoma,
I loved the hard wood floors. Room was updated and had microwave and refrigerator. Only thing missing was hair dryer.

I stayed here twice and found it to be clean. Some desk clerks were nice, some not. No iron or hairdryer and no breakfast, not even coffee in-room

A nightmare of an experience

Posted 14-Jul-2015
Paid in full but the staff tried to give away my room because I didn't check in early enough. (My Expedia confirmation guarantees a late check in btw) Arrived at the hotel, staff tried to charge me for the room because she doesn't know what "pre-paid" meant. Paid for non-smoking and got smoking room. Called front desk about changing rooms, they insisted I am in non-smoking even though it reeks of smoke and there are ashtrays everywhere. Finally spoke to the hotel management about room change to find out later when we get back for our 2nd night that we have checked out and now will have to pay for our 2nd night again even though it had already been paid for. WE WILL NEVER COME BACK HERE!

nice and clean

Posted 06-Jul-2015
Pros: A very good restaurant in its near vicinity. Food and service are good. Price is reasonable. The motel has a lot of parking.
Cons: The exhaust fan in bath room is too noisy. The alignment of bath rm door needed re-adjustment(Rm 2008),since it is difficult to close & lock the door.
Location: Location is very close to highway I5 exit# 137 and easy access to other cities.
Nice and clean but beds are too soft for us. Sound insulation needs a bit of improvement since the noise from adjacent room and exterior area can be heard from inside the bed room

Clean budget motel

Posted 01-Jul-2015
Cons: Hair dryer in room :-)
I just need a clean place to stay near Tacoma city center for the night. It was exactly what I got at Motel 6. The front desk lady was very nice and friendly. The room I stayed in (253) was clean and comfortable. I don't need a fancy amenities and furnitures. So this place was perfect for me. The only dissapointment was when I found out there was no hair dryer in the room when I came out of shower. I had to borrow one from the front desk (you need to leave your ID with them).

Clean hotel

Posted 01-Jul-2015
Pros: Bare minimum comfort in the room. Comcort is not existing.
Cons: Give a little comfort to the customers, like a hair dryer.
Location: About an hour from Seattle or from Mount Rainire.
WIFI is a big problem in this hotel. They dont know how this is working and can't explain it to their customer.
