Nice Hotel

Posted 20-Oct-2014
Pros: Quiet
Cons: To ensure all rooms are smoke free.
Location: Good location, close to many things including Emerald Queen Casino.
Stay was nice. Quiet and nice staff that worked there. Hotel claimed it was smoke free. However when we walked into our room someone had definitely been smoking in it. We called down just to ensure we would not be charged for it. They apologized and offered to move us or ozone the room to get rid of smell.

Pros: Staff was friendly
Cons: All of above
Location: Ugly area, nothing to do nearby
Didn't think bath should open into kitchen, also location of closet was off kitchen. Water dripped constantly from bath, unrestful sleep. Breakfast lousy, so apples, bananas or any type of meat

Very friendly, clean - but lots of freeway noise

Posted 28-Sep-2014
Pros: Friendly & efficient staff, clean, spacious, convenient, great price.
Cons: Better noice reduction on freeway side of hotel.
Conveniently located near the train station. Great price. Staff very friendly, with fast service. Room was clean and spacious. No microwave or mini frig. The only drawback is the freeway noise. I noticed that the windows in the lobby insulated traffic noise much better than in my room. I wonder if better insulated windows might be needed. The noise was so loud - only dulled by the airconditioner which is still noise - I would not stay on the freeway side again.

Pleasant stay

Posted 25-Sep-2014
Pros: The staff, the price and the bed was comfortable
Cons: The room smell.....needs a good cleaning
Location: Right off interstate.
The location was great. The atmosphere of hotel was good. Our only complaint was our room smelled like out cigarette smoke. The smell was most disturbing for a non smoking room. Wash the walls and change out the rug and curtains and maybe that will help. The front desk staff were excellent as was the service in the breakfast room. If you can take care of the smell issue, I would rate this stay much higher.

Showing its age

Posted 23-Sep-2014
i'm pretty sure the hotel was built when I used to live here, which was back in the early 90's. It's definitely beginning to show it's age. The room was ok, nothing spectacular. The bed squeaked every time you looked at it. The wifi was dial up slow when it worked. It took 5 minutes before the hot water finally started to appear.

One night stand!

Posted 21-Sep-2014
Stayed there when attended to a concert @ Tacoma Dome. Pros: It's about 5 min of the Dome by taxi and 15min walking. There was plenty of taxis downstairs, so no need to wait. Room was big. Cons: Old hotel. The room had a terrible smell of cigarettes. We had to sleep with the window open, which was not very pleasant since the hotel faces the highway. I called the front desk but the hotel was sold out so we weren't able to switch rooms. Staff was friendly and there is a bar downstairs. Don't expect much from the breakfast. Overall, if you need to stay for one night it's ok.

Great price and nice free breakfast bufet.

Posted 12-Sep-2014
I would definitely stay here again. Clean rooms. Very nice staff. Fairly close to the Tacoma dome. Nice clean pool and spa. Ate at the on-site restaurant once and dinner fare was very good. Fitness center is small but okay. Expect it to be crowded at the usual morning and evening hours.

Nice Hotel, a bit isolated

Posted 03-Sep-2014
Pros: Price point - very reasonable , clean comfortable room, friendly staff. Basic, yet servicable fitness center and a small pool, passable breakfast.
Cons: The stark glossy white walls and ceiling need to be updated with warmer colours and finishes,
Location: Location is next to the Tacoma dome, but otherwise completely isolated from any sense of neighborhood or ambiance. Nowhere near business or shopping.
Room was stark in appearance but very clean with a comfortable bed and recliner, it was dark when required and very quiet. Staff was very helpful and friendly. The breakfast was very basic but offered healthy choices. Trapped between the Port of Tacoma and the Tacoma Dome there is no neighborhood, shopping, eating or ambiance within walking distance.

Worn out hotel with nice people trying to help

Posted 02-Sep-2014
Pros: The beds and bath were clean - kudos to the staff.
Cons: Update the furniture. Re-landscape and update the furniture by the pool that all people in lobby, cafeteria can view into. Repaint the entire interior
Location: There is nothing to do nearby.
This hotel needs an update in a bad way. For the cost of the hotel - it feels like Motel 6 with a clean bed. The 'free' breakfast included canned fruit, styrofoam plates and coffee cups, OJ that tasted like Tang. The yogurt and boild eggs were the only real items worth eating. Others (frozen waffle and bagels) were outdated, stale and not much nutritional content.
