Gorgeous room, not so great parking

Posted 26-Jan-2015
Pros: Modern furnishings, helpful and friendly staff, great views, clean
Cons: Parking situation, a covered area to unload luggage, clearly marked instruction for the slightly-too-modern elevator system
Beautiful hotel! Great view, love the modern vibe. I had a great experience overall, I just wish there was a covered area to unload my luggage (I had lots of expensive photo equipment that got rained on) and I think $13-18/day for parking in an open lot is pretty ridiculous. I also wasn't a huge fan of the elevator system. I (and most of my clients) found it confusing.

The hotel has a beautiful view of the mountain and the staff was both friendly and prompt. Highly recommended for both business and pleasure.

Location: Glass Museum is wonderful.
Hotel was beautiful with "Glass Museum" theme. Food was excellent and service and Pet accommodations made it easy and enjoyable. Room designs offset from the halls enhanced privacy.

Nice, boutique-feel hotel

Posted 29-Dec-2014
Pros: Art
I grew up in the area and knew the Murano as the Sheraton for many years. They've done a great job with decor, art and converting the rooms to feel more like a boutique hotel experience. Our room was unfortunately by the elevator which made for a noisy evening as event goers came and went.

We stayed one night, pleasant staff. We had a great view of Mt. Rainier. There was a military ball the night we were there, so at times the valet was a little slow, but to be expected from the volume of people.

A bit on the expensive side. 20th floor and lifts were not working, so we got our exercise!

Thank you for your feedback. Please accept our apologies for the inconvenience that you endured related to our elevators this past Saturday evening. We did experience some temporary issues that caused intermittent delays and some actual downtime of one or two elevators, and our service provider was able to correct the problems as the evening progressed. I do hope that you'll have an opportunity to stay with us again in the future. Best regards, Stan Kott, General Manager

An art gallery that happens to be a hotel

Posted 08-Dec-2014
Pros: proximity to activities, food, ambience and service.
Cons: not a thing
Location: see above
Hotel Murano is a visual feast for the eyes, from the modern Italian lobby to the glass art displayed on most floors. Colors are tasteful, artwork is sublime, with glass artists represented from many countries. Rooms are classy and minimalist, with great views of the city. The bonus for culture tourists is the walking proximity to the Art Museum, Historical Museum, Chihulys Gallery, and a modern trolley trainsporting riders to downtown for free. We especially enjoyed the food in The Bite on the fourth floor, and enjoyed happy hours there three nights in a row. Restaurant and lobby staff were very concerned in making a memorable experience for us, which it certainly was.
