No local bars or restaurants near by. Once the sun goes down there is no where to go.

Thank you for your recent stay with us at Hotel Murano. I apologize if our associates did not direct you to one of the many great restaurants or bars that are in walking distance from the hotel. Pacific Avenue is located just two blocks away and features over 20 restaurants and bars and three local breweries. Hopefully you'll get a chance to check them out in the future. Kind regards, Tom Pavlik, General Manager

Great hotel if you're staying in downtown Tacoma.

Posted 20-Jul-2015
Pros: Great rooms, hotel decor was elegant and interesting.
Cons: The bartender in the bar at 1:00 am. Another group came in and she refused to serve them. They were polite and courteous, she was just being lazy.
Location: 2 blocks down the street is a great cowboy bar. Lots of fun.
Large wedding party stayed here for the night of the wedding. Great location, very nice elegant hotel. The staff was very friendly and accommodating.

Modern and fun

Posted 19-Jul-2015
Wonderful restaurant, great room with view of Mt. Rainier and city. Really fun atmosphere with art and modern look. Only things I would change are to add more space for toiletries in bathrooms- shelves, towel racks and hooks.

Hotel Murano

Located in an industrial area. No local decent restaurants in area. Updated former hotel. Too far from airport, small rooms, with a hefty roommate not worth the price. Go elsewhere!

Unique hotel, full of cool art, close to town

Posted 13-Jul-2015
Pros: The location and the art in it. The food was good too.
Cons: STAFF!
Location: Near to restaurants and rail
Staff left a lot to be desired;(. Not enough shampoos, conditioner or body wash. Hostess at the BITE restaurant unfriendly. Waitress also unfriendly and impatient. Bar lady brought our drinks without cocktail napkins... Nice place, poor staff. You need to have your room key to access the elevator too. Very inconvenient.

Thank you for your recent stay at Hotel Murano and for your feedback. On behalf of the hotel I would like to extend my apologies for the level of service that you received as it certainly not indicative of what we look to provide here and rest assured that I will address with the team. Our guest safety and security is paramount so we do require guestroom keys to access guestroom floors, I'm sorry if it caused an inconvenience. I hope that we will have another opportunity to show you a better experience in the future. Kind regards, Tom Pavlik, General Manager

Good Hotel, DT Tacoma is a ghost town at night

Posted 11-Jul-2015
Pros: Clean room
Cons: Cleaner bathtubs would be nice, sound proofing needs to be improved.
Location: There is absolutely nothing to do near by. I think we were near the theatre district but it was a wednesday night so it was pretty dead.
Hotel is good, the bathtub is a bit dirty but the rest of the room was very clean and the view of the room we got was pretty good. Glass art throughout the hotel. Breakfast @ Bite restaurant on the 4th floor was quite good. Downtown Tacoma is a ghost town, hardly anything is opened, there are NO convenience stores around this hotel at all so if you plan to stay here, make sure you have a car and get snacks/drinks before you arrive at this hotel as the whole area is pretty dead at night (and I am talking about 7pm or so) Close to the free train ride which takes you through the downtown core and that's about it The room we were in for some reason either have very thin doors as we can hear people talking while they are walking by.

Thank you for your recent stay and for your feedback. I am glad to hear that you enjoyed the hotel and our restaurant although I am sorry that our team did not point out the areas of downtown that are within walking distance of the hotel that have some nightlife and restaurants that are open later. Not Worth The Money

Posted 21-Jun-2015
Room was very small, did not have an area we could sit together. There was the bed and a desk with a single office chair. Parking was expensive. Fitness area was disappointing. Only one treadmill worked. The stepper and elipicals did not work. The weight bench was old and low quality.

The hotel was great, it's an old property that has been nicely remodeled with a fresh modern look. Bed was super comfy and awesome pillows. Would stay again.

Beautiful glass theme

Posted 13-Jun-2015
Pros: Full length mirror in room. Plenty of electrical outlets including usb for recharging devices. Coffee maker and supplies in room.
Cons: More bath soap. An additional chair in room. Better vanity space.
Location: As tourists, we found the downtown area did not have a lot to offer in walking distance. We used the self-parking which was convenient but costly.
We were in the area over a week and stayed at the hotel twice for a total of 6 nights. The artwork is lovely. The front desk staff was very nice. We needed to receive/send a FAX related to a property sale and the staff was most helpful. The hotel features a different glass artist on each floor which was very interesting. We stayed on 7th floor near the elevator for 2 nights. There was a small amount of noise from the elevator but it wasn't objectionable. The view was only so-so in this location. The artwork was mildly disturbing as it depicted disembodied breasts. We also spent 4 nights on the 22nd floor. The view was fantastic & the artwork more pleasing. The rooms were clean. The whole hotel felt clean and smelled clean. The rooms were nicely arranged with the desk facing the window to enjoy the view. The rooms were cramped for 2 people on an extended stay. There was only one office type chair in the room. The bathroom vanity consisted of a long, narrow glass shelf which was awkward for all of our toiletries. I was afraid my makeup would land in the toilet.

Dear Migi - Thank you for choosing Hotel Murano during your time in Tacoma. We appreciate the feedback and your thorough review. Thank you for recognizing our associates at the front desk and in housekeeping for the great work that they do. Our hotel features glass art from more than forty-five different global artists which cover many different themes and as art is subjective some themes will not appeal to all of our guests. I am glad to hear you enjoyed most of it. We hope to see you again in the future. Kind regards, Tom Pavlik, General Manager
