Not Worth The Money

Room was very small, did not have an area we could sit together. There was the bed and a desk with a single office chair. Parking was expensive. Fitness area was disappointing. Only one treadmill worked. The stepper and elipicals did not work. The weight bench was old and low quality.

The hotel was great, it's an old property that has been nicely remodeled with a fresh modern look. Bed was super comfy and awesome pillows. Would stay again.

Cool themed floors. Staff was attentive. Room was okay - bed seemed very lumpy.

Beautiful glass theme

Pros: Full length mirror in room. Plenty of electrical outlets including usb for recharging devices. Coffee maker and supplies in room.
Cons: More bath soap. An additional chair in room. Better vanity space.
Location: As tourists, we found the downtown area did not have a lot to offer in walking distance. We used the self-parking which was convenient but costly.
We were in the area over a week and stayed at the hotel twice for a total of 6 nights. The artwork is lovely. The front desk staff was very nice. We needed to receive/send a FAX related to a property sale and the staff was most helpful. The hotel features a different glass artist on each floor which was very interesting. We stayed on 7th floor near the elevator for 2 nights. There was a small amount of noise from the elevator but it wasn't objectionable. The view was only so-so in this location. The artwork was mildly disturbing as it depicted disembodied breasts. We also spent 4 nights on the 22nd floor. The view was fantastic & the artwork more pleasing. The rooms were clean. The whole hotel felt clean and smelled clean. The rooms were nicely arranged with the desk facing the window to enjoy the view. The rooms were cramped for 2 people on an extended stay. There was only one office type chair in the room. The bathroom vanity consisted of a long, narrow glass shelf which was awkward for all of our toiletries. I was afraid my makeup would land in the toilet.

Nice hotel with good restaurants nearby

Pros: Overall a very nice hotel. Easy parking, clean. easy checkout
Cons: blackout curtains PLEASE. the elevator is a bit of a challenge at times and there is a lack of channels on TV
Location: great restaurants near by
Nice hotel for a business stay. very contemporary. Was only there for a single night. Restaurant for breakfast has an excellent selection on the menu

A Gem

Location: The only time i felt i was in a safe location was on the street the hotel is located.
Considering the location, this hotel is beyond nice. We were in town for the Crossfit Regionals competition and found the accommodations in the area to be unsafe, dirty and overall "ghetto." Hotel Murano was a little further from the Tacoma Dome but well worth it! The area is safe with nice bars and restaurants. The hotel was perfect for our stay.

Ok not great

I expected wat to high. The pictures looks great. The room for 1 king size bed is tiny. Room service ends at 10. No vending machine.

Such a pleasant surprise

We visited Tacoma to take in the Museum of Glass and the Tacoma Art Museum and were pleasantly surprised that the Hotel Murano is like staying in an art museum. The hotel is beautifully decorated and appointed with original art throughout. On each floor as you exit the elevator, a piece of glass artwork is featured along with information about the artist. we visited every floor just to see the art. The hotel is located a block from the free light rail train making it easy to shuttle to the museums and restaurants. Our stay was very enjoyable!

Good time!

Our family had a good time! The room was nice...a great view! Easy drive to everything. Will be back for our anniversary in a few months!!
