We stayed one night, pleasant staff. We had a great view of Mt. Rainier. There was a military ball the night we were there, so at times the valet was a little slow, but to be expected from the volume of people.

A bit on the expensive side. 20th floor and lifts were not working, so we got our exercise!

Thank you for your feedback. Please accept our apologies for the inconvenience that you endured related to our elevators this past Saturday evening. We did experience some temporary issues that caused intermittent delays and some actual downtime of one or two elevators, and our service provider was able to correct the problems as the evening progressed. I do hope that you'll have an opportunity to stay with us again in the future. Best regards, Stan Kott, General Manager

An art gallery that happens to be a hotel

Posted 08-Dec-2014
Pros: proximity to activities, food, ambience and service.
Cons: not a thing
Location: see above
Hotel Murano is a visual feast for the eyes, from the modern Italian lobby to the glass art displayed on most floors. Colors are tasteful, artwork is sublime, with glass artists represented from many countries. Rooms are classy and minimalist, with great views of the city. The bonus for culture tourists is the walking proximity to the Art Museum, Historical Museum, Chihulys Gallery, and a modern trolley trainsporting riders to downtown for free. We especially enjoyed the food in The Bite on the fourth floor, and enjoyed happy hours there three nights in a row. Restaurant and lobby staff were very concerned in making a memorable experience for us, which it certainly was.

Sleepless in Tacoma

Posted 06-Dec-2014
Pros: Location
Cons: Indoor pool, or hot tub would have been nice. Let people know that parking is NOT included, and there was an additional 18$ fee for self parking.
Location: Excellent Location to Tacoma.
This was a great place to stay in Tacoma, and the closeness to all there is to do was impeccable. There was a charge for parking that I was not aware of.

Staff needs more training on local area

Posted 01-Dec-2014
I found that the staff knew very little about the downtown area and could not offer any advise of restaurants or any other ideas for things to do in the area. The hotel its self is wonderful and the lobby bar does a great job. The room service menu is extremely limited.

Great people, tasty food, clean

Posted 29-Nov-2014
Everyone who I interacted with during my stay at the hotel was absolutely wonderful. The food was delicious, servers great, front desk and the bar service also great. Wish I had more money to spend here. Wish it was the teensiest more affordable so I could have stayed longer.

Beautiful hotel.Great location.

Posted 26-Nov-2014
Pros: Beautiful glass art on every floor. Just lovely decor and atmosphere. Also, a good breakfast with a wonderful view of Puget Sound.
Cons: If you inconvenience your guests, you should make some effort for compensation, even if small, like comping the $4.00 snicker bar your husband ate. :)

We had a quick Tacoma trip to see a concert at the dome. We were pleasantly surprised to be right near the tram which gives free shuttles to the dome. Everything worked out great until we wanted to take a shower in the morning and there was no running water. Luckily our plane wasn't until noon but it was a bummer being delayed for breakfast. No compensation and barely an acknowledgement from the hotel regarding this. Otherwise a great place.

A nice surprise!

I usually stay at large chain brand name hotels. Thankfully they were full and I discovered Hotel Murano. When in the area again I will definitely stay here again!
