Great place to stay!

This is a clean and comfortable hotel. It's not fancy but has everything you need for a weekend away. Free parking, helpful staff, and close to everything.

The main road was under construction so we had trouble finding the hotel. Alexandra was very nice and helpful when we arrived. It was a busy weekend due to the Katy Perry concert but the staff handled it really well.

Nice hotel close to the Convention Center.

Posted 13-Sep-2014
Pros: I liked the staff, the cleanliness and modernity of the hotel, and its location to business and other sites in the Tacoma area.
Cons: The only thing that was disturbing was the loud industrial noise that started early in the morning in an adjacent alley that runs next to the hotel.
Location: Very close to the Greater Convention Center of Tacoma, the UW Tacoma campus, and easily accessible to Tacoma Dome.
This is a very nice building in downtown area of Tacoma, very close to the convention center and easily access to Freeways. It is very clean, modern and the staff could not have been more accommodating. The only reason I did not rate it as Excellent is my room faced an alleyway where, very early in the morning, I could hear garbage trucks going down the alley with an accompanying loud banging of dumpsters, as well as other "industrial" noises that awakened me. Otherwise, from a value and convenience standpoint, it is an excellent choice.

hotel close to university

Posted 30-Aug-2014
Pros: location
Cons: the smell in the room
Location: walking distance to the university and some really good restaurants
We were pleased with the hotel's location but the room had a very unpleasant odor to it which we thought smelled like animal urine in the carpet. It was better with the window open but was definitely noticeable every time we came back to the room. The beds and pillows were comfortable.

Floor to thin noise a problem

Posted 27-Aug-2014
Pros: this hotel is new and clean.
Cons: Maybe thicker carpet and a extra pad under carpet to help with noise.
Location: it is at the end of the downtown area with an old ugly building right across the street
This is a beautiful new hotel very clean. But the floor seams to be to thin I got a call my second night that we were making noise then ten minutes later another call that we were making noise and they would remove us if there was a third call. I really didn't appreciate this we were in town to send my son off to college. We were not making noise I have been at hotels where my kids were making noise but this night no loud noise just simple moving around. I did have my son only four years old who was poping out of bed. The top of the bed came up to his chest so when he got out he poped down. The next night someone above us was walking hard and slaming things down on our ceiling I thought we were going to get a call on this. The floors are to thin you can hear someone walking on top of you. I was really disappointed the staff was going to ask us to leave. They are not aware the floors are to thin I believe they deal with this on regular basis.

Location is not good but interior is

Posted 06-Aug-2014
Pros: I liked the price and the breakfast buffet.
Cons: The stability of the internet. I got onto the wifi was later kicked out. Then for about an hour, I was not able to get onto the internet.
Location: Convention center, drive around the museum
The city is doing construction around the hotel property, and the roads to the hotel were blocked off. I had to find a flag person to ask how to access the hotel. The location around the hotel is dicey, as there were only abandoned warehouses and homeless people gathering there. But once we were able to find a way to the hotel, then it was okay. We checked in late so we did not leave the hotel again at night. The hotel interior was nicely done, and they do have secure complimentary parking garages for the guests. But the wifi connection was again not stable and not consistent. However the room was clean.
