The hotel was very clean, tidy and comfortable. The staff were friendly and helpful. Totally what I would expect from a hotel of this rating.

Extreme minimalism

Posted 13-Jul-2014
Pros: Nothing. Absurd that it is rated 2.5 stars by expedia, and after "upgrade", tax and fees, the $91 price was no bargain.
Cons: Everything. Especially kitchen materials, more comfortable beds.
Location: Industrial area next to highway. No services nearby.
First sign that this would be a disappointing hotel was the roaring and odor emanating from some kind of petroleum facility directly across the already noisy freeway. Second sign was a very slow front desk check-in process, by the end of which I was having to fork over an extra $11 for an "upgrade" to 2 double beds. On arriving at the room, it was apparent that the "kitchen" was devoid of any dishes, utensils, soap, cookware, soap, etc. When I called the front desk, they said I could come down and get some dishes there (no offer to send up), and they gave me precisely 2 of each dish and cutlery. When we went to make breakfast of toast and cereal, I discovered there was no toaster-- apparently that must also GE reauested. Ditto, ice trays (given that there is no ice machine on the property). Beds were small (my son and I are 6'3") and overly firm. Facilities seemed worn out and spartan. Between noise from highway and loud a/c and overly firm, undersized beds, sleep was poor.

Nice for the price, good location.

Cons: The free "breakfast" wasn't much of a breakfast. Coffee, a muffin and an apple. Disappointed in that but otherwise a good experience.
Good, liked the location and the price. Nice to have a kitchen but there were no utensils or cooking supplies.

Overnight stay kinda hotel

Posted 25-May-2014
Not the best of hotels or even the quality of comfort as displayed on the website. The facility is old and has a distinct smell as you walk in. Felt more like a motel or hostel right off the freeway. Customer service is Ok. Room was also old, dirty and had a distinct smell. Dirty furniture, appliances, bedding/sheets, shower curtain, mirrors, walls, dresser and floors.

Great Stay

Posted 14-Apr-2014
Pros: Location to Tacoma dome. Quiet area
Cons: Had a little trouble with our phone working to make local calls
Location: Quiet area but within 10-15 minutes of everything. Easily accessible.
My husband and I were in Tacoma for a concert. Some of the reviews I read on trip advisor made me really nervous. I shouldn't have been. The staff were welcoming, friendly and answered any questions we had. The hotel is no frills and very basic, but had everything we needed. It was clean and in working order. I also made phone request before arriving, and they were all met.

Room Change

Posted 14-Apr-2014
Pros: The hotel was very clean and accessible
Cons: Any changes requested should be put into motion at the time of request . Not at time of registration .
Location: It is near downtown Tacoma and the Tacoma Dome
Due to a change in plans I wanted to change my room from a king room to a double . I called the hotel twice in the previous couple of weeks requesting this change . I was told that it would be no problem . They even noted it on my reservation info. Upon arriving I was told they were fully booked and no double was available . The front desk could not explain why I was told it would be no problem or why it wasn't changed when I called either time .

No frills but nice.

Posted 14-Apr-2014
Pros: Convenient location, nice staff. No frills but decent.
Cons: Mini kitchen was dated. Rear entrance, where all the parking is, was "out of order."
Location: 5 minute drive to Tacoma Dome
We stayed just one night for a concert at the Tacoma Dome, so we didn't really use the "extended stay" amenities. It was clean and convenient. Staff were very nice.

Ok if u have a car

Posted 03-Mar-2014
Pros: staff
Cons: better breakfast; no business room or access to internet....just a single computer somewhere near the lobby would have been good; customer service
Location: didn't like location at all
Was fine for a quick stay but otherwise too far away from all amenities.
