Close to the Tacoma Dome

Posted 16-Sep-2014
Pros: The hotel room was very nice and clean. The man who check me in was really nice & friendly?
Nice room. There was a drainage problem in the tub. The wait staff in the bar was ok. One lady was very nice and friendly once we got her attention. The other lady was very slow and never had a smile on her face.

Great for Dome Concerts!

Posted 15-Sep-2014
Pros: Proximity to concert venue.
Cons: Restaurant service.
Location: Easy drive or train trip into the center of Tacoma. Lots to do nearby and some great restaurants a few minutes drive.
The hotel is a couple of minutes walk from the Tacoma Dome. Check in staff were very efficient and friendly. The room ( King Standard) was a little on the small side. Nasty stains on the bed sham. The bathroom was not made for sharing! Overall the room was very clean. The restaurant - great food. Waited in line for forty minutes, watching empty tables not being cleared and wait staff ignoring us. There was no hostess, no supervision of staff. It could have been a lot more organized than it appeared. Yes, there was a concert - cater for the concert demographics. We will stay here again as it is really convenient for concerts, but will eat elsewhere.

Yes, I would recommend this hotel. Location is good (close to freeway, but no noise and close to other interesting things (e.g. down town and old Tacoma)

Location good. Hotel need rehab

Posted 11-Sep-2014
Pros: Nothing. Also felt parking was not secure. Underground parking but open access to anyone. Not good.
Location: Waterfront is nearby and the LeMay car museum as well. However, not worth staying at this facility to be disappointed.
Wish we could give high marks but we very disappointed in the hotel, and the staff. We will not recommend this hotel and, at best, advertising as Best Western Plus is far from honest. The room was marginal. The bed barely sleepable. And the linens, well, we thought threadbare. In the bathroom, towels we not upgrades, but pretty bare bones. The breakfast, not good and the presentation poor. Many dumped their breakfast in the trash. Front desk staff was indifferent. Recommend Best Western to do a major rehab on this hotel.

Nice Hotel With Added Perks

Posted 01-Sep-2014
Pros: The nice perks that this hotel offers is a huge selling point. Free parking, a free buffet style hot breakfast and free wi-fi.
Cons: They have an overflow parking lot for the hotel but the lighting is very dim. It would feel more safe and secure if there was more lighting.
Location: Close to Tacoma City Center and Tacoma Dome. Lemay Auto Museum and Chihuly Glass Museum are great things to add to your list of things to see and do.
My stay at this hotel was great. I've stayed here before and it is my preference when I stay in Tacoma. The rooms are clean and pleasant, the beds are very comfortable, and hotel staff are friendly and helpful. Although this hotel is a bit of a distance to walk from downtown, the Tacoma link light rail stops just a couple of blocks from the hotel and takes you right into the heart of Tacoma. I highly recommend the Best Western Tacoma Dome Hotel if you're in the area.

1 night stay

Posted 01-Sep-2014
Pros: Staff good service and. Location
Cons: Maybe more bar staff when they know a concert is going on next door
Location: Located next to the Tacoma Dome and Sounder train station
Stayed here one night to go to a concert. The hotel was packed but the hotel staff did an excellent job as was well prepared. Check in was a breeze and the staff very helpful. The only thing on the down side was the slow service in the bar, but in defense of that they were swamped with everyone wanting a drink before going to the concert at the. Same time. Great service over all would recommend this hotel to everyone.

The staff was courteous, the room we were in was not too comfortable. (Two double beds). Great Breakfast! Close to the freeway. Very quiet!

Disappointed in overall cleanliness. Upon arrival, noticed the "cover-let" was stained and dirty. It appeared to have dried barf on it. I removed it and placed it on the floor. The next day after room cleaning, that same dirty linen was placed back on the bed with the stained side up and fully visible - unbelievable... I completely understand the want to be "green", but not at the expense of cleanliness. My room faced the west. After a long day at work, I'd return to my room to find that the cleaning staff had turned off the A/C, opened the curtains fully and the temperature in the room was over 90 degrees. It took several hours for the room to then cool off - and it could only do that after the sun had set. Not a pleasing "return" to say the least.
