Close to Dome....if that's what you're looking for

Posted 17-May-2015
Old, out dated. NO BLACKOUT curtains!! Just side panels & sheer curtains. My room was lit up all night by the Domes parking lots "stadium" lights. restaurant food was barely edible & the only thing in the breakfast that was edible was the yogurt. Gross! Very nice staff but I would not stay here again.

Great location next to Tacoma Dome

Posted 13-May-2015
Pros: Room was comfortable, Free breakfast had a good selection of hot & cold items and was well tended to by staff. Free parking was great
Location: There isn't a whole lot to do nearby without a car, but it's the perfect location for a quick stay while attending a concert at the Tacoma Dome
We arrived just around check in time (3pm) and were checked in within 2 minutes (quickest check in at a hotel I've ever experienced). We actually parked in the underground parking area before check in and then realized that you needed a room key to get up the elevator, but there was a nice housekeeping lady that let us up so we didn't have to go around to the entrance. Our room was on the 5th floor facing the entrance of the hotel and had a nice view of the little shopping area that was a short drive away. Loved that the room had a microwave and refrigerator (perfect for bringing your own food since there isn't must available in the area). The sleeping area was a little small, but the bathroom was huge, although there was no counter space at all to put your bathroom items, so they had to go on the floor. Overall a good room for a short stay for 2 people. My husband and I enjoyed the breakfast the next morning. Loved the make your own waffle station and all the food was hot and tasted good. Great perk to staying here.

good hotel for seeing sites in Tacoma

Posted 13-May-2015
Pros: Our room though small, was clean and the bed was comfortable. The staff was very good. We ate at the restaurant one evening. Good food and service.
Cons: The hotel lobby is very nice. Our room needed some updating.
Location: The Dome is right next door to the hotel. Chihuly bridge of Glass, Museum of Glass, Tacoma Art Museum, LeMay America's Car Museum walkable sights.
We were visiting our son in Tacoma; flying across the country we wanted to take advantage of seeing many of the sites that were within reasonable driving distance. The hotel was close to the interstate which made it easy to drive to many sights and we had the ability to walk to many downtown sites. The weather throughout the week was beautiful which made it possible to do many outdoor activities.

Nice hotel, literally across parking lot from Tacoma Dome. Easy access and decent parking. Breakfast had good variety too.

Great convenience for events at Tacoma Dome

Posted 11-May-2015
Pros: Breakfast buffet was awesome!
Cons: be sure each ice machine is working.. especially when you only have 3 in the whole building. They were on every other floor.
Location: Restaurant/bar in Hotel and Mediterranean bar/grill a block away. Mediterranean grill was very good!
Tacoma Dome was literally across the parking lot-10 minute walk to front door. Not much around for eating but there is a bar/restaurant in the hotel and a lovely Mediterranean restaurant/bar a block away. Those are your main options unless you want to drive. Ice machine was broken on our floor, so we had to wait for the elevator each time and go down 2 floors then back up etc... pretty lame but doable. Little spendy ($100 for a Wednesday mid-week night) but so convenient!

very nice, great value

Posted 11-May-2015
Pros: great location, great value
Location: We ate dinner at Alfred's Cafe around the corner, which had excellent burgers.
We were going to be in the Tacoma area for 1 night, and wanted someplace fairly nice but didn't want to spend an arm and a leg for it. Found this one that had very good reviews and a great rate for the night we needed. The staff was prompt and friendly. The room was very nice. The breakfast was well above average for a free breakfast. Definitely enjoyed our stay.

Nice hotel close to transit.

Posted 08-May-2015
We were there for the marathon so it would have been nice had the hotel catered to our needs in terms of an early breakfast option and rides to/from events.
