"The staff are the jewel in the crown of this hotel"
From our personal correspondence with the spa and reception staff before our arrival I had a good feeling about this holiday and was certainly not disappointed. All staff were friendly cheerful and professional to all guests without exception, jumping in and out of various languages with great ease. This really added to the holiday experience. The extra touches for our birthday celebration were gratefully received. The room was very comfortable and the venue great for relaxation, with plenty to see and do nearby as the mood takes you. The spa Hammam experience was just something else and highly recommended. The staff are what made this place, from the reception, chambermaids, waiters, waitresses, restaurant managers, bar staff, porter, therapists, were so cheerful and helpful and I am sure plenty more behind the scenes. Thank you.
Cant fault the hotel. Fantastic situation right at the head of the Bay. Breakfast was good every morning - plenty of choice for a week long stay. We had dinner there one night and it was also excellent.
We didn't quite crack the a/c in the room and it was very warm at night- probably our fault.
This was our second stay at the San Andreas though having stayed in a five star in Valetta before Xlendi, we initially were disappointed in the small size of our room which was not ideal for relaxing in but the beds are comfortable and the rooms clean and bright. We spent little time in the room anyway so it didn't matter much. If you opt for a sea view the balcony is a decent size for sitting out with great views over the bay. There is also a lounge on the fifth floor with sun loungers on the terrace though we found it too hot to use as there was little shade. The buffet breakfast was the typical continental. We ate each night at the hotel's own restaurant choosing to sit outside. The service is excellent . The food is varied, very well prepared and served in generous portions. The wine list is extensive and very reasonably priced, especially the local wines which we enjoyed immensely.
The staff at this family run hotel are friendly and the proprietor or his family are always around.
The hotel is right on the bay and the water is a few yards from the front door. The small beach and bay offer safe swimming within the designated areas, cordoned off from the boats and yachts. It is used by the locals of all ages and has a great family atmosphere. A dive shop is just across the road and it is a popular place to learn to dive.

We enjoyed a wonderful week at San Antonio Guest House. It's a properly family-run enterprise and the family are delightful & eager to help :)
We'd stay again any time and happily recommend this guest house and the sister house next door at St Jude's.
Felt well looked after!

We had a huge room at the top of the house. There was an amazing view. The jacuzzi bath was in the bedroom. There were no mod cons such as a t.v or brand new furniture but there was something relaxing and different about the residence. We had the nice outdoor pool to ourselves all day and loved the hotels restaurant that was nearby. We had two great meals there. Take some time to walk down to the main village and see the church and maybe have a cheap drink with the locals in the band club or the football club. There are communal fridges to keep your drinks cool and a nice local shop to buy them in at very cheap prices. We cant wait to go back.

A perfect place to escape the crowds and relax in a tranquil and beautiful environment. Being on top of a plateau near the beautiful white cliffs on the southern coast of Gozo gives breathtaking views of Gozo, Comino and Malta, as well as meaning there's always a cooling breeze. The single storey accommodation makes the place seem even more special set amongst beautiful flowering trees. Dining underneath a 450 year old Carob tree was another treat. The only downside to our stay was that the 'private' beach had been taken over for a Brangelina film shoot resulting in limited access to the headland and no access to the beach. The hotel did however provide a bus to spectacular Xlendi which is also a must see.
