“Friendly Hotel - good place to relax”

Staff very friendly and attentive. Rooms were clean and comfortable. Ideal Hotel if you wish to spend your days relaxing in peace and quiet by the pool. Not much else to do in that area. Evening meals and lunch are available - but choice is limited. Hotel provide a complimentary taxi service to and from the main town which is half hours drive away. The local beach is a ten minute car drive and not 800 metres as stated.

“Great Service”

Found the staff extremely helpful, friendly and very polite. Nothing was too much trouble. Were only there for 3 nights but found food good, as was the special evenings laid on. Would certainly return.

“Excellent stay!”

The Hotel is a great place to relax. The staff are extremely helpful and couldn't do enough for us. The poolside restaurant is a terrific location for both breakfast and dinner. The fact that it is a little out of the town wasn't a problem as the shuttle bus meant that both Ortigia and the beach were only a few minutes away.

“Fabulous hotel with excellent service and very obliging staff.”

Whilst the hotel is approximately 5 km outside Ortigia, it only takes 10 minutes by car to get to the centre. However the surroundings, gardens and pool area are beautiful, which can be a welcome relief after the hustle and bustle of town. A shuttle bus runs 4 times a day. The hotel itself is very pretty, but the area in which it excells is in terms of the hugely obliging and helpful staff. I have seldom experienced this level of customer care outside the Far East and for this reason, I would have no hesitation to recommend this hotel. We took our trip in late May 2011 and the weather was fabulous. The hotel only has 22 rooms, so a perfect size and the food is also outstanding. Book now!

Area recommendations

After Ortigia, must see places are Ragusa (stunning medieval city on a hill, part of which was destroyed by a volcano), Noto (beautiful city akin to Rome with very many palaces and churches) and Taormina (deservedly described as one of the most beautiful places in Sicily - town perched at the edge of a cliff hanging over the sea). Fantastic...... Enjoy!

“Quiet hotel withi easy reach of town”

Staff very friendly, food good and the only drawback was the size of the standard room. Very small. Very quiet location which we loved.

If you like to see old buildings including a Roman aphitheatre adn greek theatre this is a good stay for 3 nights.

“Hôtel Principe Di Fitalia : un havre idéal d'où visiter la région de Syracuse”

Nous étions dans cet hôtel pour fêter la fin d'année entre amis. Cet endroit tranquille planté d'un jardin magnifique permet de se reposer entre les visites à Syracuse qui n'est qu'à 10 mn en voiture. L'accueil est chaleureux et le personnel propose spontanément de vous véhiculer en navette si besoin.Nous avons apprécié les petits déjeuners- buffet variés et copieux agrémentés de gâteaux maison et de jus d'orange frais.Toutes les personnes du groupe ont adoré l'hôtel et y retourneraient sans hésiter.Par contre, une voiture est indispensable si vous voulez visiter les alentours.

“proche centre historique Ortygie et plage”

Personnel très accueillant et sympathique . Les navettes organisées pour Ortygie ou la plage sont très agréables et utiles, la plage est splendide . Le cadre de l'hôtel est très agréable . Seul petit bémol, les alentours nécessitent une voiture, on ne peut pas se promener à pied. Nous avons bien apprécié le séjour, un plus : cuisine rafinée si vous voulez manger sur place ;

“Hotel Principe Fitalia - very nice !”

Famiglia con bambino piccolo di 4 anni ottimo hotel - ci ritorneremmo volentieri pro (quasi tutto): camere ampie pulite ordinate, servizio gentilissimo, WIFI ovunque, hotel bello costruito e arredato con gusto, vicino 1 km al mare (danno le biciclette), piscina e ambiente molto godibile, colazione "mediterranea" eccezionale [di livello inferiore quella internazionale] contro (poco): cucina migliorabile, ambiente limitrofo piena campagna e niente altro P.S. le strade sono asfaltate, ma un navigatore è obbligatorio
