We liked the location. Staff were helpful giving recommendations regarding restaurants and directions We didn’t like the room which was shabby and rundown. I booked a room with ocean glimpses and we could not see the water from our room or balcony. The room was not good value for money.

The location of property was good. The surrounds of the property is poor. Dirty grounds. No internet, no lift. Lots of stairs. Lobby staff were ok. Breakfast waitress didn’t smile.

The property was incorrectly advertised eg photos of outlook, balcony, pillow menu. The internet rarely worked. When we made staff aware they'd go and turn on and then it would not work a short time later. The matresses in the economy room need replacing. They had dips in middle. When we complained we were told to go somewhere else. Our room was half the size if my friends who paid the same amount on the site. Overall really disappointed and did not sleep properly during our stay.

At least the reception girls are very nice.
The hotel is old without a proper elevator, it uses an old storage very slow lift. But it doesn't get you on the top floor, you have to walk the last floor. The surrounding area is a third world area, dirty, chaotic, with no parking spaces. The room was big with a funny barred enclosed balcony that looks nowhere.

Good location
Good location and had everything we needed to explore Siracusa. It was very comfortable with a nice breakfast and helpful staff.

Well located but mixed service
Well situated midway between Archeological Park and Orteiga. Service very mixed, mainly we guessed, because some staff had not been trained. Various advertised amenities didn't happen e.g. room not available as advertised, no promised free parking, empty minibar, no coffee on first morning. Reasonably good value if advertised amenities are delivered.

Old hotel with friendly staff. Splendidly ancient and rickety (hydraulic) lift. No reserved parking so that can be a problem. Kettle provided but no coffee/tea so take your own!

Unluckly we don't offer, and we don't advertise online, reserved parking. Anyway the in the hotel nearby there are a lot of FREE parkings, very close to the Hotel Mediterraneo***. We are very sorry your tea/coffe set was empty... We hardly reproach our staff for this serious forgetfulness ! But why you didn't promptly ask for tea and coffè to our reception staff ??? Close to all tourist spots, very helpful staff
Reserved parking in front of the door, easy access to/from the autostrada and tourist spots in Ortygia and Syracuse. The staff was able to book ferry tickets from Catania to Naples when our flight was unexpectedly cancelled with no alternate flights available and no travel agency open. The wifi is strongest in the lobby. The room and breakfast are good. Good value for money.

I spent a pleasant week here.
Family-style. Walking distance to the long-distance bus station & the railway station. About 6 city blocks from the start of the old town & from the Greek theatre uphill in the opposite direction. Antiquated elevator, but only two flights of stairs to the top. Nice room, recently redecorated.

Central Location
The location is close to restaurants, the historical areas and the train station. We walked to the island and the train station and took a local bus to the museum and archeological area.

Good place to stay
This hotel is located between the old part and new part of town but not in either one of them. The neighborhood IMMIDEATELY around the hotel is sort of a no-man's land. But of you walk for 3 minutes in one direction or ten minutes in then ther there is plenty to see and do. Some of the rooms are wonderful. Some need work. The service is fantastic.

Hotel Between Ortygia and the Archeological Park
The English-speaking receptionist oriented us with a map and directions to the major archeological sites and to Ortygia, with some restaurant recommendations. Everything was walkable because the hotel is between these two areas.

Nice and cozy hotel, not far from the major sights
Not sure why the rating for this hotel is kind of low ... for me it was a wonderful experience! The room I had was facing South-West, so it was filled with light and sun warmth in the afternoon. Also, the entire design of the room, in pale/earth colours, was so cozy, that it was a pleasure spending my time there! The room was quite big, there was enough space to spread out the suitcases and still have room to walk around. The breakfast had both sweet stuff (croissants, jams, cakes, and so on), but also meats, cheeses, boiled eggs. So that gave the day a good start, for the daily sightseeing activities. The hotel is well signposted starting from the railway station, and easy and quick to reach from there. Also, the side where my room was, was facing the city police building - Polizia Municipale, so that added an extra comfort as far as safety is concerned. When I arrived there on the first day, I did not even have to ask for a map and the main sights, I was given it together with the room keys! And finally, the wi-fi - important for me - was very reliable (maybe there were few moments some days when there was some short reconnection, but other than that I was able to use it as I needed.) I would stay again at this hotel any time stay, for me it was a very good experience.

Convenient for station and the island of Ortigia
We spent 3 nights in this hotel and were very pleased with our choice. The room was spotless and the bed comfortable. The only slight problem was the sliding door of the shower. The breakfast was adequate and the location perfect. The staff were very friendly and we would use the hotel again.

Quiet hotel close to both new and old town
Syracuse is a lovely city with Ortygia Island very close to the hotel. We enjoyed a festival of St Lucia on the Sunday morning.

Convenient location
Problems with shower in our room & a bit noisy. Staff very helpful in changing our room. Quieter and more comfortable for a more enjoyable stay. Breakfast pretty basic but adequate.

Comfortable hotel, just a short walk from Ortigia
This hotel is just a short walk from the bus and train stations (less than 10 minutes) and is also very near the Ortigia island, where the historic old town lies. The hotel is very comfortable with all you could want for breakfast. Rooms are spotlessly clean and the staff are friendly and helpful. I have nothing but good to say about the hotel and would certainly stay there again. Whilst at the hotel, we took the Montalbano Tour and it was well worth it. It is possible to walk to the Greek and Roman amphitheatres from the hotel, and I would recommend this trip to anyone staying in Syracuse. All in all, a good break.

Cozy budget hotel
Nice friendly small hotel, about a 10-15 minute walk from Ortigia. Would recommend for budget-minded travelers. Cappucino was nice in the morning, but the breakfast could be improved (should provide better quality breads and cheeses).

Cozy small hotel, nicely priced
This a friendly small hotel, a 10 - 15 walk from the main touristic island of Ortigia. The breakfast could be improved, but they did serve fresh cappucino. Wi-fi did not reach our room on the top floor, but there were two cozy lounges just above reception, and we were able to sit and connect there. Rooms were simple but reasonably comfortable. A good value for the price we paid. Availability of parking was also a plus (we visited in January).

Good location in Syracuse
We stayed three nights. There happened to be lots going on, street activities and markets. We found the boat trip out to some caves well worth the ten euro per person. The bus to Palazzolo Acreide and the Greek theatre and Christian burial chambers was most interesting.

Very good location midway between Ortygia and the ruins park. Management helped us with parking and that made all the difference in Syracuse. Room was large and included a fridge. Breakfast was ample. Neighborhood appearance might be off-putting to some, but was never an issue to us as we walked about day and night. Very good value!

There are better options around
I chose this hotel as I wanted to be close to Ortigia so from this point the choice was ok. Other than that everything else was disappointing including very poor breakfast and staff. Walls are so thin that I could hear people walking and talking or flashing toilet, not to mention those pulling the luggage on the staircase very early in the morning. Don't stay here

Amazing budget hotel
If you're staying in siracusa then this is the hotel to stay at. Location is 10 min or less from train and 10 min walk to the island for all main attractions. Friendly staff and typical, nice breakfast. Rooms were large and bathroom was large as well.

Escher would have loved this place
The location was within 5 minutes' walk of the railway station and within 10 minutes of the historical centre. Also, only a couple of minutes from Bianca (the best gelateria in Siracusa). The staff were really helpful, the room was great (except the shower was a little lacking in oomph). The breakfasts were fine, great choices and helpful staff to make fresh coffee. There were bits of stairs heading in all directions, hence the Escher comment.

Superb Value
You save a lot of money being an easy 10 minute walk from the historic center. The hotel is very comfortable, the staff hospitalble and helpful, the breakfast ample and coffee excellent, and the surrounding neighborhood safe to walk around at night. WiFi worked the entire time as well.

Great Find
We loved this hotel. The service was wonderful. The breakfast was delicious. Had some trouble finding it but it is walking distance to train station. They even had the night person prepare us breakfast the morning we left as it was so early. There are restaurants in the neighborhood and you can walk to the important sites but there are buses for those not up to longer walks.

The service at this hotel was excellent. The desk staff spoke English and were happy to help. The hotel rooms were small, but functional, and they were kept extremely clean. Wifi was good. Breakfast was good, with delicious, freshly-made cappuccinos. The location was in a scruffy neighborhood, but not unsafe. Ten minute walk to the bus/train station, ten minute walk to Ortygia, fifteen minute walk to the Archeological Park. If you can afford a four-star or five-star hotel on Ortygia Island, do it. If you need something a little less pricey, this hotel is a good option.

Mixed feelings.... very good location near Ortygia, courteous staff but the room offered differed from the specs of the room booked. We advised reception who tried to accomodate us to a different room but the odour was heavily filled with cigarette smoke so we declined the alternative and sticked to our room

mooi centraal gelegen om naar de oude stad ( Ortigia) te lopen. Hotel had geen eigen parkeerplaats, maar kon gebruik gemaakt worden van publieke parkeerplaatsen. Redelijk aanwezig. zwembad op de foto is niet aanwezig in het hotel. De wifi werkt niet op de derde verdieping. Goed ontbijt buffet
