“Definitely will be back!”

My sister and I stayed here overnight and from the first contact arriving by taxi, we were warmly welcomed and our luggage organised efficiently by the porter to be taken to our room. Checkin was simple and quick and even though we were early and our room wasn't quite ready we were made to feel welcome. Our room was spotless and the beds were extremely comfortable. The shower (with a choice of shower heads!) was great. We enjoyed pre-dinner drinks in the atrium and chose room service for our evening meal. This was served promptly by a lovely young lady and our trolley was cleared away after a call to advise them that we had finished. Breakfast the next morning was very enjoyable, from the warm welcome, to the quality and variety of food on offer to the efficient serving of our coffee and clearing away of our plates. These all contributed to a very pleasant experience in which to start the day. Checkout was also simple and quick just like the checkin and a taxi was waiting and ready for us within a couple of minutes. Overall a very pleasant and extremely comfortable stay. Location with being so close to excellent shopping was also a bonus. Will stay again and would highly recommend it to family and friends.

Area recommendations
Surry Hills for the vintage shops and the antique stores.
What to pack
I have always found it to be practical in the approach of packing for a holiday. Put everything you think you will need on a spare bed one month before you go. Then two weeks before you leave halve it. Then the week before halve it again. Why drag around 10 pairs of shoes when 4 will suffice? If you get really stuck buy a cheap pair on the trip for your additional needs and either throw them before you leave or bring them home. There are bargins to be found everywhere.

“Magic”

This is the first time I've stayed here and I'd have to say it's the second best standard hotel room I've stayed in (the best was in Belfast). I was so surprised at the size of the room, the bed, and the huge bathtub!! And the room layout was the most practical I've ever seen for a hotel room. I'm a local Sydney gal, and I've stayed in many of the local hotels, and this one now is my number one choice. All this, plus the friendly and professional service, AND a great price from Expedia - it was MAGIC!!

“Very impressive”

We found the room to be very impressive. It was clean and comfortable and I wish we could have stayed longer. My husband and I will definitely stay there again.

“My new Sydney Home”

As I do a lot of travelling for both my work and leisure I have been looking for a Hotel to make my home base in Sydney and after several months of trialling different Hotels in the City I am happy to say that The Westin has become that place. The Quality of the Service was fantastic, The Room was presented well and had all the comforts required for an enjoyable stay. The location is very convenient and allows for walking to all the major destinations in the City.
