“Wedding time”
Loved the individual character of the rooms as we had friends staying also. Enjoyed the pool ad sauna and the extras such as a shaver etc after the swim and sauna - really great. Enjoyed te bar for a drink and breakfast with the mob after the wedding.
“Sydney's best hotel”
Cannot fault this hotel in any way. Located in a quiet area of a very busy city, yet within easy walking distance of all the main attractions. The room was comfortable, spacious and very, very clean. The service and friendliness of the staff was second to none. Everyone addressed us by our names. The underground pool and spa were excellent. The bar / library was well stocked with books about the history of Australia and the food was also excellent. I cannot recommend this hotel highly enough!
“very impressive”
Great service from when we pulled up in front of the hotel until we left in the pouring rain.
“Best at "The Rocks"”
We picked The Observatory as a treat for running the Sydney Marathon. The service from the concierge on everything from places to eat and quickest ways around was just perfect. The room service food was superb albeit a tad slow. The room itself was heaven and I can't remember sleeping so soundly. I will be back soon and must play tennis at the coolest public tennis court across the street.
“The best stay we've had in Sydney”
Going back to the Observatory after a day's activities in the city, was like going home. They absolutely made us feel like royalty. The breakfast was wonderful, the staff was fantastic. We didn't have an opportunity to have dinner in the restaurant, but judging from the breakfast, it had to be great, as well. The room was large, for Sydney standards, and furnished very nicely. The fantastic price truly was the icing on the cake.
“Old Fashioned Comfort”
It's were i'll be staying when in Sydney.
“"Looking forward to returning soon"”
This is our first stay at the hotel. On arrival all staff very helpful and welcoming. Our room was ready even though we were early. We enjoyed the bar area for its relaxing atmosphere, the pool was magnificent and of an evening having your bed turned down and hot chocolate sachets and tea ready for you, was a welcome surprise. Looking forward to returning.
“Happy once again.”
This was a return visit and it lived up to expectations. Situated in the Rocks and therefore situated in one of Sydney's nicest areas for tourists. The Observatory is old style and has an excellent service ethic. A standard room is reasonable in size but the bathroom is big and has a lovely deep bath. The bar and restaurant are a little stiff by Australian relaxed standards. Don't miss one of the best indoor hotel pools in the world.
“Elegant, peaceful hotel”
Helpful staff. Excellent balcony overlooking water
“Wonderful experience!”
A truly first-rate hotel. The service was excellent. The staff was helpful and courteous. The room was huge and beautiful. My 8 year old daughter loved the pool. We would not stay anywhere else in Sydney.
