Cons: Rooms should be updated to more modern standards.
Location: Location is perfect as you are a walking distance to most of the point of interest in addition its right across the Wyniard station which can anywhere
First thing first. I've stayed there twice when staying in Sydney for two reasons: 1) cost as compared to hotels closer to Circular Quey; 2) location to all my points of interest. In general I would not recommend this hotel to anyone as the hotel is old and the rooms are vary dated. Wall paper in rooms is either dirty or pealing off. Mold in the bathrooms. The final thing was a cockroach running in the room. Hotel was good and quick at moving us to a different room. I would recommend you pick different hotel.

Great hotel, close to CBD

Pros: Excellent staff - particularly would like to mention Brian (front desk) - very professional, friendly and genuinely interested in guests!
Great hotel to stay at. Close to CBD as well as being across the road from train station. Excellent staff.

Convenient location.

Pros: Breakfast of granola,fruit and yoghurt was wonderful and excellent value...lovely ambiance in the dining room.
Cons: Dirty fingerprints around the toilet flush button.
Location: Convenient to railway system...Rocks....Martin Place and shops.We walked up to the Botanical Gardens where we spent most of the day
We had to pay top price due to the Mardi Gras so expected a good standard. Hotel foyer presents well but some aspects of the room are showing wear and tear. The inner view from window was awful BUT there was no traffic noise so we slept soundly!

Fantastic location great staff

Stayed at this hotel for 2015 Mardi Gras!! Upon arrival the reception staff have to be the most friendest I have ever experienced. Rooms are arrage for a CBD Hotel but clean. I will be defiantly staying at this hotel again.

Nice hotel, great location.

The location was great. Walking distance to all. The rooms was a average room. The staff was excellent. But than again I learned that all the Australian people I dealt with for 17 days were great people. The value was ok. I would stay there again.

Great location... but for the price is tired

Fabulous location at Wynyard Station. Staff are fabulous. But rooms need upgrading to 2015. At $500 per night that were a let down

Nice hotel in a great location

Pros: Very friendly staff, great location!
Cons: The air conditioning did not work very well in the hotel. The rooms were always pretty humid even with the air conditioning on high.
Location: Very close to Darling Harbour, Circular Quay, and The Rocks. Right next to the train station and within a 10 minute walk to the ferries
The hotel staff at The Menzies was so nice and accommodating that it made our trip much easier! They gave us an early check-in since our flight arrived at 8am and they were always pleasant when we had questions. The hotel is older but still in good condition and the rooms were clean and comfortable.

Well located for train and Opera House

Pros: Location
Cons: Update the rooms. Provide the right amount of amenities for the number of guests staying. Open another room for breakfast when it's busy.
Location: Handy to The Rocks, Sydney Opera House, cruise terminal. Train station very close.
4 females staying in one room - only 2 towels, 2 cups, 2 glasses and one lot of shampoo provided. Not enough milk for the coffee. The pool was average. When we got there we had to phone for pool towels twice before they brought some to us. While the breakfast buffet was enjoyable, we had to queue for 15-20 mins before we were seated. Check-in and check-out were fast and efficient. Great location for walking to The Rocks and Sydney opera house and Wynyard train station was right across the road. Wouldn't stay here again
