Good hotel close to the airport.

Posted 16-Jun-2015
Good, comfortable motel, close to the airport. We were given a room upgrade. The staff were friendly and helpful. The motel was clean and tidy and the room was great. We didn't have any traffic noise or noise from the nearby activities.

Dear Anonymous, Thank you for sharing your feedback regarding our buffet breakfast, although it is a shame we have not lived up to expectations. Our Seasons Restaurant does offer eggs cooked to order (at no additional cost) and we apologies this was not communicated to you during your stay. I will be sure to pass this feedback on to our Executive Chef as he actively encourages feedback on his buffet breakfast. Kind Regards, Silvia Kypriotis, Rooms Division Manager

Renovations inside the hotel seem to finally be finished but continue outside making entry difficult. We like this hotel because we can go to the St Georges Rowing Club over the road for dinner & a drink. It's a lovely relaxing way to start a holiday. Tip: you can catch the train to Wolli Creek Station which is an easy walk from the hotel & save the hassle of getting the shuttle from the airport.

Dear Michelle, Thank you for sharing your comments, we are pleased you enjoy staying at our hotel and agree, it is a great way to start your holiday! Your travellers tip is a good one, Wolli Creek train station is just a short walk away and the domestic terminal station literally right inside the airport, it is a convenient alternative. The only downside to this suggestion is the airport stations attract a per person surcharge fee, making it a costly exercise in comparison to the $6.00 shuttle, but we agree, it is convenient! Thank you for sharing your travellers tips and we cant wait to see you again on your upcoming holidays! Kind Regards, Richard Holt, General Manger

Good Value Close to Airport

Posted 30-Apr-2015
Pros: Comfortable room. No fuss from staff. Food available in dinning room all day.
Cons: Shuttle bus pick up confusing.
Location: Walk to Wolli Creek area for full service supermarket shopping. Easy walk to and from Wolli Creek train station in daylight hours.
Good experience overall, quiet hotel, comfortable bed, limited food options for room service, but I enjoyed what I ordered. Currently this hotel is considerably cheaper than nearby airport hotels. Nearby construction did not affect my stay except in the parking lot. Current construction in front of hotel obstructs traffic flow.

Has slipped

Posted 22-Apr-2015
Pros: Reception staff helpfulness and quality of accommodation
Cons: Restaurant staff, food list and service
Location: Close to airport, M5 tunnel entrance and rail links.
Due to apartments being built next door, the main entrance and parking area have changed. This detracts from the ambience in the restaurant. Restaurant staff don't seem to be of the same calibre as previously.

Dear Phil, Thank you for sharing your feedback on our hotel. The neighbouring construction has had a few impacts on the hotel, but these are limited to our car park and the need for a temporary hotel entrance however this will change in the next few months, where we will eventually see the restaurant open on to an outdoor dining area - which will significantly improve the mood of the restaurant. We do take your feedback seriously, and I will be sharing your comments with my extended team as we continue to strive to create memorable experiences for each of our hotel guests. We wish you the safest of travels and hope you can give us the opportunity to redeem ourselves the next time your in the Sydney Airport region. Kind Regards Richard Holt General Manager

Good hotel close to airport without any noise

Posted 20-Apr-2015
Pros: Location, price and good memories
Cons: Update elevators. Cracked tiles are not a good look to start your stay. Soundproof doors of rooms
Location: Fairly central to most areas for airport, beaches
Unfortunately there is a major construction underway right next door which has reduced the carp ark to utter chaos in the mornings with so many courtesy/tour buses in all sizes. Had no trouble finding a car park each day in the allocated parking areas Service was very good.

Dear Chris, Thank you for sharing your feedback on your recent stay with us. With our neighbours undertaking building works we have seen a reduction to our parking capacity however once the works are finished you will see significant improvements to the look and feel of the hotel - we are really excited for the changes! I am thrilled my team has contributed positively to your stay as we are working hard to refine our customer driven culture. Reading your review confirms our hard work is paying off, so I will be sure to share this feedback with my team. We look forward to welcoming you back to the Mercure Sydney International Airport, the next time you are in Sydney. Kind Regards Richard Holt, General Manager

convenient location but what a mess!

Posted 08-Apr-2015
Pros: The hotel is good, the access and adjacent area are to be avoided
Location: Sydney International airport
Mercure Sydney Airport deserves a 4 star rating but it is surrounded by huge apartment blocks under construction. Also the access is hopeless due having no right of way onto a very busy road

Dear Anonymous Guest, Thank you for providing your feedback on our hotel. Taking away the external factors, such as our neighbours and the traffic, we are extremely pleased with your acknowledgement that we are deserving of our 4 star rating. My team is working hard to deliver exceptional experiences in lieu of what is happening outside the hotel and once the projects around our hotel are completed, this will improve the feel of the hotel and its surroundings. Just in regards to your comments about the traffic, the roads into airport precinct are generally busy as with most Airports however the past week has been school holidays for NSW schools thus the airport has seen an increase in demand. We thank you for your feedback and look forward to welcoming you back to the hotel in the near future. Kind Regards, Richard Holt General Manager
