This hotel is well-placed for access to all routes to North and South Cotswolds, An excellent breakfast buffet, and good value dining rates. First class staff - polite and courteous - who dealt competently with our complaint with Expedia.
My family and I stayed in the Barrington arms and as there were four of us stayed in the Barrington Suite. The room was absolutely beautiful with a spacious bathroom adjoined. The family who run the hotel could not have been more friendly or welcoming and the breakfast the following morning was delicious ( and very entertaining thanks to the singing chef!). We will definitely return to the Barrington in the future.
We booked this last minute and paid a good price for family room with breakfast. On arrival the lady on reception was exceptionally friendly and as I am a blue badge holder they supplied on site parking. The room was comfortable and clean with all we needed for an overnight stay. We went out for a meal and on our return there was free coffee/tea in the reception area. Breakfast was much better than expected with plenty for everybody.
I stayed for one night and the atmosphere in and around the hotel was very relaxing. The staff were also friendly and very helpful - for example I ordered food but had to go out for an hour and the front desk were more than willing to accept the order on my behalf and hold it until my return. This made my evening of work less stressful and I appreciate the extra effort. I will be working in the area a few more time in the next 6 months and will definitely book again.
To be quite honest I was extremely impressed and completely wowed by my stay. I loved the size of the room. I loved the fact that it had an en-suite. It was extremely cosy and warm. I ride a.motorbike and I got caught in the rain and when I got in my room I was able to hand up my stuff and it dried real quick as there were so many radiators that actually worked. It was very quiet and pleasant abs the bar staff and other staff were amazing
The only.issue is that it was a little confusing.entering the car park where to.go.to check.in as you literally walk into a pub. It would.of been nice to.see a welcome.sign and perhaps a direction of where to check in as there were.so many doors. However this is possibly me.being fussy as I loved the place!.
