"great staff and welcome, limited for dinner"
Only negative was the limited options for dinner, only a bar menu was available and this on a midweek night. We chose to eat in adjacent Wine street where there are several good restaurants.

Room furnished to a good standard. Only gripe was the mattress - two singles zipped together, so a big dip in the middle

"Centrally located"
Payment requested on arrival even though I had registered debit card when booking. Charged by Expedia three days later so I'd paid extra which I was told would be refunded when I contacted Expedia later. Small single room & tiny bathroom with no shower. Bath partially beneath the sink shelf but was functional. Hot tap in sink was faulty. Excellent breakfast.

"2 out of 3 ain't bad"
I booked 3 rooms for a family weekend. 2 rooms were perfect. The 3rd has no blinds in the bathroom and a glass bathroom door. Hence daylight from 4.00am and no sleep. The car park is miniscule - only holds 5 cars so had to park in a pay car park at the train station. Staff far from over friendly but no problem. Overall the hotel is excellent value - just a shame about room 304 - I could have done with the sleep. Still, I suppose 2 out of 3 ain't bad

Booked a last minute overnight stay and was allocated a "lodge" style room in the grounds. Very spacious, beautifully appointed and well equipped. There is plenty of space in the hotel car park. We didn't dine at the hotel in the evening but we did have breakfast which was very tasty and well presented.

"Perfect as a base for exploring Swansea and beyond"
We had a 2 night stay in a twin, ground floor room. The room was clean, comfortable and, despite the closeness to Reception, very quiet. It's a budget hotel so there was no hairdryer or wardrobe - but apart from that we had all that we needed for our brief stay. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The parking was free. I would say it was about a 10 minute walk to the beach and marina, and about 15 minutes to the shopping centre. It was just off the main road into Swansea, so very easy to find. It was a great base for exploring Swansea and the beautiful coastline of the Mumbles and the Gower. The breakfast was varied and plentiful, although not much vegetarian choice on the cooked breakfast - but admittedly, I didn't ask. Would recommend for a great base at a great price for exploring the area.
