Beware of the bus & don't trust the signs by the (ill signposted) bus stop. Also take a note of the hotel telephone number before you go as you will not find one at the bus stop. The bus stop advertises the incorrect bus line. Check before you go!

Holiday Inn Gattwick needs some work. Convenient to airport with good shuttle service but that is about all I can say that is good. Room was cleanish, curtains were ripped (about 2 feet along the edge) and carpet seemed stained. WIFI was expensive and once you were logged on, it kept on going, whether you were on it or not, so your hour was gone even if you used 15 minutes. Front desk was helpful with a long distance collect call but had to go to the desk for info as they didn't answer the 3 calls I made to them. Why do airport hotels think they can get by with lower standards than anyone else?

“still waiting for milkand towel”

on arrival at double room found we onlly had one bath towel, and no milk with tea and coffee making facilities, went down to dinner and asked at reception if we could get this, as we both wanted a bath and had an early start next morning. we never got towels or milk, so had to share 1 towel after bath that night, and same damp towel next morning, couldnt have tea or cofee either, as never got milk. other than that the room was lovely.we also thought the courtesy bus to airport was included in the price, but had to pay 3 pounds each to go to airport.

Located on the Horley side of Gatwick and only a few minutes in a cab from either terminal (6 pounds for a taxi so dont take the shuttle bus). Excellent and accomodating service all around with one exception, none of the times I called front desk anyone picked up. In person though, there was nothing they wouldnt do to make you comfortable. The rooms are standard, but clean and well maintained. Very good value for money indeed.

Was in London for the night, with kids. This hotel was the perfect pit-stop to get the family rested for a flight the next morning. The staff was very friendly and service was better than expected. Exactly what we needed.
