Amazing hotel. Set on its on private beach with crystal clear water and white sand, this hotel is one of the best we have ever stayed at. Staff really friendly and helpful. Food and drinks also really tasty. The idea if individual bungalows give you the impression you are staying in your own private beach hut and not a big hotel. Couldn't recommend highly enough!!!
In all honesty I really cannot find fault with anything! We were greeted with a glass of champagne, offered three different types of pillows for our room along with three different types of aromatic oils and asked what type of flowers we preferred on display. We were escorted to our room (free upgrade given as well!) by the receptionist who gave us details of the facilities. The room was amazing and incredibly spacious. Everything had been thought of to make it as pleasant as possible. We were given vouchers for a free drink each night at their beach club which was only three minutes walk away and served amazing cocktails and delicious food. Breakfast was excellent - freshly made fruit juices were available there and an excellent selection of food. There were little individual touches as well eg. after the first day I asked for two extra bottles of water and an extra table for the anti- mozzie burner. We got the extra water and tablet every day thereafter. We were also provided with a fresh ice bucket twice a day when they saw we had brought some duty free drinks with us!
I could not recommend this place highly enough. We have stayed in and around various places in Thailand, always 4-5 star, for a number of years but this is the best by far
The Chava Resort is located near Surin Beach, smaller and much quieter than some of the more popular beach areas in Phuket. The beach and surrounding area offer a good selection of restaurants, masseuses, loungers, and activities like jetskis, parasailing, waterskiing, etc., but also a good spot to chill and enjoy the tranquility and pristine beach. Great if you've got small kids. The hotel is a short walk to the beach, across a small park. Some of the suites were still under construction, but the disruption was minimal. We were there at the end of low season (late October), so occupancy was very low. Service was great. Our unit was a 2 bed / 2 bath apartment, with full kitchen, liviing and dining rooms, laundry, and our own plunge pool. Again, great for a family. Overall the hotel facilities were nice but not extensive. Only complaint: no on-site gym, although you can use the facilities at a neighbouring hotel for a daily fee. Better yet, just go for a swim and a walk on the beach.
Enjoyed our stay having had my own apartment in Bang Tao for many years. Easier access into pool needs to be looked into especially for older guests, at least two guests would have used it if they could only have managed to get into it!! Defiately value for money especially as breakfast was included.
We spent 5 nights at Ayara to relax at the end of a 3 week trip through SE Asia.
The resort didn't disappoint. The food was excellent, the staff very helpful and the rooms great. I really
Enjoyed having access to a decent gym. The location at Surin Beach is also terrific because you're well away from the craziness of Patong.
We only tried one of the massage packages, which was a two for one offer. It was fine, although I think of we'd paid full price we'd have felt underdone. Overall though it was awesome.
The very friendly and helpful staff went out of their way to make this a very pleasant stay. The hotel is in a good location with the beach & beach front dining a short walk over the road & being able to use the pool was also a good option. Room was even better than it looked in the photos - very large, clean, airy & well presented.
In western Phuket, Surin Beach is also called “Millionaires row” reflecting luxury homes and hotels in its environs. Powdery white sand, clear blue waters, and high waves in the dry season allow snorkeling and surfing. Restaurants and cafes abound on the beach, serving diverse cuisine. Sun loungers and umbrellas are offered for a fee. The Ban Thao Mosque in Surin Village is a major attraction.
