“Pleasantly surprised”

Expected the usual rather basic ational Park hotel. Cabins were better appointed than we had expected and the food was well up to big city standards. A long drive from Jasper but worth it

“Cold and isolated”

We spent 2 nights here in October and found it to be the worst hotel of our trip through the Rockies. It is very remote and after arriving late at night we booked for diner at the hotel restaurant as no other options existed nearby. The restaurant was over-priced - each meal cost what we had been spending on two meals combined and whilst nice, was not worth the prices charged. The room was extremely cold with the heating barely working, the bathroom was not heated at all and very antiquated. The water stopped running one night and the staff didn't even provide a bottle of water for us to drink! The TV had very little reception of standard channels. The only plus for this hotel was that it was close to the Sunwapta falls.
