“Beautiful place, beautiful hotel.”
Enjoyed the scenery, the lighted trees, walks, fireplaces, everything was beautiful.
“Beautiful holiday getaway”
The Sun Valley Lodge is a lovely historic hotel in a festive holiday setting. Lights twinkle from all the area trees and holiday decorations are scattered around the hotel. It has the feeling of years gone by with the classic lodge architecture and old time photos of famous people of years gone by. The outdoor heated pool is lovely in the evening and all the room have guest robes and slippers. Doormen help with luggage and park your car and the pool attendant was quick with a bottle of water when we were thirsty. We had a lovely stay. Our only issues had to do with small appliances in the room. The coffee maker didn't work. Neither did the second coffee maker we asked for. The hairdryer didn't work either. Weird for such a classy hotel. All in all a great stay and we will definitely return.
“Nice Hotel”
Great hotel in a a beautiful location. The bed was one of the most comfortable I have ever slept in. The issue I didn't like was the there was no complimentary breakfast for the price I paid for the stay.
“Luxury and heaven all rolled into one!”
We return to the Sun Valley Lodge almost every year. The beds are very comfortable, it is quiet, and I love the second floor drawing room! Lots to do there too depending on the season. You can always get an elegant meal or a meal to go at the deli on site. Sun Valley Lodge is one of my favorite hotels! The service is top notch and employees smile and are kind to you. And not to mention, the steam pool. Love this place.
“Thanksgiving trip”
We decided to go away for Thanksgiving this year and chose Sun Valley. We booked ahead of time but the hotel also offered packages for this period too. The Lodge was busy but we always had great service and did what we wanted, when we wanted to. Highlights in the winter for families is the closeness to Dollar for skiing and then using the hot pool afterwards! We had a small problem in the bathroom one day and less than 5 mins after reporting the issue, maintenance came and fixed it! I would recommend it but I'm too selfish as I want to keep quiet about this place! Wonderful place and staff.
“Classic Sun Valley”
Big hot tub/pool, ice skaing rink, beautiful winter lighting AND a view of the ski slopes. This is classic Sun Valley. Perhaps some would call it slightly dated but we felt like we'd stepped back into history with the rich and famious. Perfect anniversary stay.
“Old School Charm”
This is a classic lodge with beautiful common rooms and good service. The room we stayed in was on the small side and the bathroom is pretty standard/small. It's worth the stay to capture the feeling of old Sun Valley.
“Best place to stay in Sun Valley”
Nice and clean. Comfort bed and I love the welcome chocolate for guest in the room every night. Can't wait to get back.
“must do this!”
we used this exquisit place for a family get-together - converging from around the country - and could not have chosen a better place. lots of delightful things to do for all ages in the summer...skating, putting golfing, swimming, trails to walk and hike, gondola rides to top of bald mt, shopping in toy stores and other such places for items of desire. the restaurants abound and are excellent, the service throughout the complex is wonderful, the rooms impecable and the grounds peaceful and beautiful. the ice show on sat night is awesome! please do go...you won't regret it.
“"Not Impressed"”
Highly over rated. Certainly not worth the price. Needs updating.
