“Not a fan of this property.”
Reserved Deluxe queen through Expedia but was given a Classic King room without the pullout sofa. Had to contact the front desk to get assigned the correct room type which required a one hour wait because the staff was behind in cleaning rooms. When we did get reassigned, the new room was smaller, but did have the pullout sofa. Still not convinced I was placed in a Deluxe King. Pictures do not accurately represent rooms. Hotel does not use fitted sheets on beds so flat sheet has to be retucked every few hours while sleeping. Bathrooms are so small you can not close the door without backing in to a corner. Parking is impossible and many guests have to park across the street in another lot. The only plus is the location to the heart of Breckenridge.
“Not ready foes us”
We were charged a $20.00 resort fee although it was never mentioned at check-in. The fee was for Internet, parking, gym, pool, etc. We were told that parking and internet was free. The workout and hot tubs were closed in our building so we did not have convenient access to the pool or hot tubs. I had to fix the toilet after each use. The refrigerator did not work until the second day. We normally do not complain and the $20.00 is not a major issue. We do not like surprises when checking out. We could have rented a decent condo for the price.
“Service at hotel was fair. Poor parking. Hidden fee's I was not aware of.”
Rooms were too small for (4) people. Hot tub was too hot. 104 degree's. Hotel needed a alot of remodeling. I would not stay here again.
“Ski trip for Spring break!”
Great experience at the right price! Occasion was 21 yrs son and dad on a ski trip may not fit other profile. This was the criteria choice for my trip. Make your own call.
“Good Location, good price”
The room was clean however the bathroom was very small. The beds were not the most comfortable in the world but they served their purpose. The staff were all very nice and courteous as well as helpful. It is a very good location and for the price you can't beat it. I would stay here again.
“Good location”
The hotel is nice although a bit misleading. You can ONLY do Valet which is an additional 25 bucks, then they ONLY have indoor hot tubs at this hotel, if you want to enjoy the pool and outdoor hot tubs well then you have to get dressed, walk across the street into their other hotel and go there which is very inconvienant. Location is great. AND to make matters worse with the Valet. I saw the garage was low and we have a truck with a ski rack on it. Our skis were already on the rack and I didn't think it was going to make it so I let him know, he disgarded me and said it would be fine, moments later I saw him driving out truck out and SCRAPING our SKIS against the top of the garage. NICE.
“Great but a tiny bathroom”
The Village is a solid hotel that is at a perfect location. There was only two downers. One the bathroom was tiny, like European tiny. There was only room to stand in the bathroom with the door closed and turn around. Had to stack clothes and towel on the toilet. Also was on the second floor street side so the last night when the sidewalks were being scraped. We heard beeps, scrapes and bumps all night. They started at probably midnight and worked most of the night. The rest of the stay was perfect! If you want a good breakfast hop on the bus and go to Daylight donuts. It opens at 6am and is where the locals eat. You won't leave hungry or with an empty pocket!
“This No Frills hotel IS NOT ski-in/ski-out!!!!”
This is an old, warn and outdated hotel, that has not been well maintained. Location is good, but not ski-in/ski-out. No in-room movies, no dvd player, cable tv reception is not clear. There is no room service, and the hotel staff was entirely unhelpful when I asked questions about the area and hotel amenities. You have to walk to main street to get any food, snacks or whatever else you might want (normally the small stuff is available at the hotel somewhere) The bathroom was very outdated, poorly designed, cramped and poorly lit. Just not a user-friendly place. I will never stay there again.
“Totally amazing & super friendly customer service”
We had the most amazing time at The Village at Breckenridge. Every single employee was extremely polite, friendly, helpful and went out of their way to be hospitable. The bell boys/ valet were particularly noteworthy, they remembered us, checked in on us any time we were in teh lobby, gave suggestsions and let us borrow their snow tabogins to go sledding. The two young women working at the concierge were filled with a genuine desire to assist, always had smiles on their faces and were truly happy to assist with plans. The front desk staff was very polite, professional and pleasant. I would have to say in my several hotel stays at resorts, hotels and vacations this hotel would rate #1 on customer service from the concierge, front desk, bell boys & valets. The cons: the housekeeping; we called twice on the 3rd day and nobody came to clean our room. We took turns sleeping on the sofa bed, which was horrible, sqeaky and very uncomfortable. The shower water was extremely hot, the shower head was nailed down so the guest has to huddle at a strange angle to gain access to the water. The linens could be a better threadcount. Also, the towels were quite rough, I expect more from a four star rated resort property. The airconditioning was very loud and it took a little time for me to sleep.
“Great getaway”
We couldn't have hoped for a better place to celebrate 2011. The hotel was very nice. The location was very convinient and close to every attraction in the area (shopping centers, restaurants, slopes, cross country skiing). The sauna and steam room were a wonderful addition along with the four outdoor hot tubs. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The day we came the fitness center was closed due to a very cold weather (it made the pool area very foggy) but the staff let us use the facility the next day even after we checked out of the hotel. Thank you very much for the hospitality. We would stay again.
