Basic sleeping accomodations

Posted 20-Mar-2015
Pros: Convenient location. Cheap
Cons: Complete remodel, add an elevator, new mattresses and linens. Some customer service training for front desk staff.
Location: Near all the ski areas in Summit County--which is the only reason I stayed here and the only reason I would recommend anyone else do as well.
First, they didn't have my reservation when I arrived at midnight. Then, the lady at the desk took 15 minutes trying to figure it out instead of just giving me a a room, which they had available. Next, I find out my room is on the third floor and there's no elevator. Which is great since I just flew in from sea level and haven't adjusted to the altitude yet and now have to schlep my luggage three flights. Place looked like it was last updated/redecorated in the '70's. Old sheets and pillows, crummy bed spread and no blankets (winter in the Rockies and no blankets??) Mattress was hard as a rock. Breakfast was barely passable. Need I say more?

Pros: Access to the activities we were doing was good.
Cons: Not sure how to eliminate the noise from general hotel activities but the plumbing issue seemed to have been a problem before we got there.
Location: Too many to list
Very noisy, had problems with the toilet from the beginning. Room was very cold and heater was too loud to sleep. Felt like the only blanket we had was a sheet.

Dillon 's Value

Posted 08-Jan-2015
Pros: Proximity to everything. Speed and efficiency of checking in.
Cons: Please serve eggs as part of continental breakfast, even if it is hard boiled eggs.
Location: Skiing
Considering the rates of Holiday season and New Years Eve, this was a good deal. The room was warm even if it is on the first floor. The windows and wall absorb the noise from outside and neighbors. The bathroom was cleaned promptly and the towels were clean with no stains from previous usage.

Deep breath

Pros: Location - easy access to everything. The hotel was fine if the only thing you need is a place to lay your head at night.
Cons: Communications. Staff was not helpful with events happening during the stay, directions, and Expedia requirements on early check out.
Location: Easy to get in & out. 10 minutes from Cooper Mountain & Keystone.
Traveling with 70 + year old parents. We were put on the third floor with no elevators. There were no vacancies, so we could not move to the first floor until the 2nd day of our visit. The view was beautiful. Booked hotel on Expedia. Expedia had disclaimer that any cancelation fees were through hotel. We told hotel that we were checking out a day early (told them two days in a row) and they said okay. After we packed & turned in keys, they then said "did you process early check out with Expedia?" At this point, parents & children loaded in car, could not take the time to go through the steps. Would have liked the hotel to mention that two days prior when we told them about checking out early. First room on third floor - tv, telephone & heater not working properly. All we could do in the room was sleep wrapped up in blankets. The second room, on the first floor was much more comfortable.
