Basic sleeping accomodations

Posted 20-Mar-2015
Pros: Convenient location. Cheap
Cons: Complete remodel, add an elevator, new mattresses and linens. Some customer service training for front desk staff.
Location: Near all the ski areas in Summit County--which is the only reason I stayed here and the only reason I would recommend anyone else do as well.
First, they didn't have my reservation when I arrived at midnight. Then, the lady at the desk took 15 minutes trying to figure it out instead of just giving me a a room, which they had available. Next, I find out my room is on the third floor and there's no elevator. Which is great since I just flew in from sea level and haven't adjusted to the altitude yet and now have to schlep my luggage three flights. Place looked like it was last updated/redecorated in the '70's. Old sheets and pillows, crummy bed spread and no blankets (winter in the Rockies and no blankets??) Mattress was hard as a rock. Breakfast was barely passable. Need I say more?

Stayed for 2 nights and with the exception of very little hot water, the hotel was great.

Newly remodeled hotel, but not maintained well.

Posted 23-Feb-2015 on Hotels.com
Some dried mud in the room at check-in. Next evening, the dried mud was still there. The heater is one of the on-off type that makes noise when starting. Continuous starting prevents sound sleep. Hotel is newly remodeled, therefore, comfortable rooms and beds. Bathrooms are very small and difficult to use. Hotel requires a wavier from client that states that once the key is issued, the room cannot be denied by client, regardless of condition. NO prior inspection is allowed. Meager breakfast.
