awesome views of the mountains and snow. the condo was clean and the kitchen was great.

Great room, vaulted ceilings, clean property

Posted 14-Apr-2015
The 1-bedroom condo we stayed in was excellent, it was very clean, it had vaulted ceilings, and was the perfect fit for two adults and one child. The hot tub and pool were great, and very close to the condo building with great views of Keystone Mountain.

Keystone Hotel

Posted 02-Apr-2015
Pros: Location
Cons: Cleaning the sofa pull-out bed and putting clean sheets on it. A variety of different colors of hair, popcorn, dry skin, and something black was found
Location: Great location.
We were disappointed with the cleanliness of the sofa bed and found trash on the balcony. The location is wonderful and close to several restaurants and the slopes. If we wanted to use the pool, we would have had to go to another building next door. We had 3 hot tubs in out building. One of the staff members (Derek) was very respectful and accommodating when we wanted to move to a room away from the elevator, but when we had to leave a day early since my husband got sick, the staff member I spoke with upon check out was very short with me and quickly told me that I would not be getting a refund.

Very Disappointed and Frustrated

Posted 30-Mar-2015
Pros: Not much.
Cons: Mainly the cleanliness and making sure we were away from the busses. Our room was hot and we couldn't change the heating or open the windows.
Location: There definitely was a lot to do, but we didn't get to experience it as my husband and our young grandson were feeling ill. We cancelled our plans.
We are easy to please, however I made a special point a week ahead to call River Run and talked to Shamara asking for a location away from traffic and near an elevator due to my husband having COPD breathing problems and explained that this might be the last time he can travel in the mountains. Shamara nicely set us up in The Dakota, away from the traffic and near an elevator. Upon arrival, the desk clerk said they couldn't honor special requests and although I challenged that decision, we were assigned to another condo on the street where ski buses idled all day and part of the night spewing diesel fumes. The carpet was filthy as if someone had spilled leaking trash all over the floor and it hadn't been vacuumed. We found what looked like rodent droppings on the mattress on the pull out couch. We were dismayed that our 7 year old grandson and his Mom would have to sleep there. UGH! I will say that the bathroom was clean and the kitchen was okay however the coffee pot didnt work and leaked. The blinds didn't work either and we couldn't get out of the deck door to use the deck. The deck was covered with snow and the view was minimal. I was told we would have a wonderful view from this room. However, we couldn't have used the deck to find our view anyway because of the bus fumes. When I complained about the cleanliness, we were told that all of the other rooms were taken. I feel that I should not have paid $500.00 for two nights in that facility. We left early.

So close to the Gondola

Posted 30-Mar-2015
I will never want to stay anywhere else when I snowboard in Keystone. We could see the gondola from our room and it was only a 2 minute walk to get there. No complaints other then the pull out bed being a little hard to sleep on.

Very Dissapointed

Posted 18-Mar-2015
Cons: When booking a room then it should be honored and not given away. If it's given away then they should upgrade with no additional charges.
Location: The location was a couple miles from the slopes instead of being able to walk right out like we were supposed to be able to do.
We did not get to stay at the River Run because they cancelled our reservation then reserved us in a different place with one bed. They tried to Blame Expedia but when I called Expedia they still had us confirmed and sent me a email showing it. Thank Goodness I rented a car because instead of being in the resort at the slopes we had to drive every where we went. We were supposed to have a kitchenette and 2 beds and living space. They finally got us a room that had what we were supposed to have but they tried to make us feel as though they were doing us a favor. At the end they charged us additional fees of $89.00

Tried to go below a 4-star hotel=big mistake

Posted 18-Mar-2015
Not only was the carpet heavily soiled, the bed seemed more like a full size than a queen and looked and felt as though it had been used for decades; the furniture older, uglier, and more warn than my great grandmothers-but we were also lucky enough to be directly across from the elevator and our window faced the busy parking lot….never again.

CONVENIENT LOCATION

Posted 12-Mar-2015
The location was very good and we could easily walk to the ski lift. Hotel check in staff member was super and gave us very complete and good information. The condo needs some updating. Would like to see: 1. Full size mirror on wall (bedroom wall or back of door) somewhere. The only mirror is the small one above bathroom sink. 2. Carpeting is very worn looking and could use replacing. 3. Bed is only full size - I realize space is an issue. Perhaps a queen size would fit if it were against the long wall. 4. Bathroom sink needs a counter around it for more convenience while getting ready as the wall shelf is not enough and is used for towels and other amenities.
