Great location close to skiing

Posted 12-Jan-2015
We stayed in a loft for the weekend (Friday - Sunday). Room was comfortable for 2 adults, 2 kids. Amenities at the Lodge are fantastic for the kids. After skiing each day, they hit the pool and hot tub, which was never overly crowded. Staff was super friendly. Valets were always helpful, friendly and full of great advice (such as how long it would take us to make it to Breck from the Lodge on Saturday morning).

Near the slopes

Posted 07-Jan-2015
Pros: The location, even though it was not slope side, was still convenient. The staff was quite helpful. Ski storage next to the Gondola.
Cons: The bell staff and valet parkers could use a course in manners and realize they are the FIRST impression of the property.
Location: The Lodge is only 5 minutes from the slopes. They drop you at the base in the small town of Keystone. SKI TIP LODGE restaurant is a MUST!
Keystone Lodge is not too far from the slopes, which makes it a better economical choice for families going to ski in Colorado, where usually staying slope side is quite a bit more expensive. The king loft room was perfect for a family of four. The staff is friendly. The restaurants were only ok. The transfer service was great. I believe our longest wait was maybe 10 minutes, if that. Overall, I would recommend the hotel.

HOTEL BUENO, BIEN SITUADO

Posted 05-Jan-2015
Pros: LA UBICACION Y LA CAMA
Cons: EL SERVICIO Y ALIMENTOS
Location: BIEN UBICADO PARA LAS PISTAS DE SKI, LA HABITACION ES COMODA AUNQUE NO CAMBIAN LAS SÁBANAS DIARIO.
EL SERVICIO ES BASTANTE MALO, HAY BUENA ACTITUD DEL PERSONAL, PERO NO CREO QUE AMERITE LAS "CUATRO ESTRELLAS" ESTÁ BIEN SITUADO, LAS HABITACIONES COMODAS. ALIMENTOS REGULARES, EL BUFETTE DE LA MAÑANA BIEN. EL SPA BIEN. EN GENERAL UN HOTEL "BUENO" PARA CONOCER KEYSTONE. LEJANO DE SER UN CUATRO ESTRELLAS.

Restaurant staff

The hostess at The Big Horn was terrible! She said she forgot about us waiting and laughed about it, after we had been waiting over 40 minutes. The bartender in that area was not very accommodating either.

Nice environment. Ski lodge feel.

Great location. Staff was very helpful and friendly. The only complaint was that you had to use valet parking. They got the car fast, but it would have been nice to have access to our car. Room was very cozy and clean. Everything was extremely expensive, but that was expected. We also got awful altitude sickness, so consider that when choosing your vacation destination!

Cons: I didn't think the staff at the front desk was very helpful/cheerful. They came across as though we were a bother or trouble.
Location: I like Breck better!
Nice rooms/ clean and comfortable. Front desk staff was very standoffish, I felt.

Great stay for skiing vacation

Posted 30-Dec-2014
Pros: Hotel is a bit dated but lobby is practically enchanting with train set up for children to marvel over.
Cons: Elevator speed. More restaurants in walking distance.
Location: Skiing, skiing, skiing. Didn't notice anything else to do.
Accommodating to extended weekend stay with double beds for two people. Hot tub is outstanding and steam and dry sauna make for excellent wind down to day of subzero skiing. Staff was the most impressive part as they were very nice and always there to help. Shuttle service to River Run gondola area is a really convenient bit. Eva gave excellent recommendations for food.
